Yeah, a huge thing people don't understand about "boycotting" amazon is that it's nearly impossible to actually do that. I mean, bluesky uses AWS. People really aren't boycotting as much as they think they are but still like to look down on others over it.

In addition to the above, there is no where else I can overnight a miracle nipple or quality kitten formula if we need supplies in an emergency at midnight. We are in a relatively rural area with no pet stores open 24-hours. I hate to say it but using Amazon has absolutely saved tiny lives before.

Just asking people not be dicks to small non-profits that are barely getting by even with these services and would have to shut down without them. If you can boycott - great. It's simply not that easy for everyone.
There are many small non-profits that need amazon wishlists and meta accounts to survive. That's just a hard reality that a lot of casual private users don't seem to understand. They don't have the option to simply boycott and lose all of the donations that flow through those channels.

That’s one of the reasons I collect cat photos and not little figurines and things. I have collected hundreds of them and they tuck away so nicely in albums.
But for this particular photo I have a date range from the person who sold it to me. It came from an album that spanned from from 1918 to 1922.
Good question! I can often guess at the decade of a photo from clues like the quality and paper type, but don't post those estimates any more because I found it just made compulsive contrarians argue with me and it wasn't worth the hassle.

This is just MY experience. I'm sharing my personal anecdote. I'm sure it's different for everyone. But if you're avoiding it solely because of scary stories and jokes you've heard, please just go and find out for yourself. I was shocked by how easy and fast it was and you might be, too.
For many years I heard horror stories about the TORTURE of mammograms so I was braced for the worst when I had my first one. I worry that some people don't go at all because of that fear. When I actually went for the first time I was like "WTF? That was no problem at all."
This is not cat related at all, but I want to say that I had my annual mammogram today and it was fine. A few minutes of discomfort and I was done, same as every other year. I just feel like it's important to say this to possibly take some of the fear out of it for people who haven't gone yet.

Some of these individual signs on their own are not necessarily proof of a rescue being fake, but they should at least send up a little red flag in your mind that makes you look closer. Be careful out there. Make sure your money is going to the animals who really need it. ❤️
