One wild turkey hen and 7 poults today. They're not keen on my brushy yard, preferring to graze and forage in groomed lawns. Definitely urban turkeys.

Normally, a Rocky Mountain Bee Plant gets to be around 4 feet tall. Mine is over 7 feet. It resembles a small flowering tree, although it's an herbaceous annual. I'm 5'2", and can't reach the top of it. It's native to the Midwest Prairie and Western US. Humming birds love it! Super drought tolerant.

My pollinator garden with my Rocky Mountain Bee Plant standing tall, like a small flowering tree. Its blossoms are a pinkish lavender. Pic of my head, standing below my Rocky Mountain Bee Plant. It towers over me. One of the tallest blossoms on the Rocky Mountain Bee Plant. Lavender pink cluster of blossoms at the top of a long stem. Long stamen stand out like a big pompom. A honeybee is collecting pollen. Narrow pointed green leaves radiate out around the stem like a bottle brush. Long slender pendulous yellow green seed pods hang down from the stem below the current blossoms, like a grass skirt. The sky behind the flowers is a brilliant blue. My drought tolerant pollinator garden, with numerous textures and colors. The Rocky Mountain Bee Plant stands in the middle, at least 5 times higher than the other plants around it. Hard to believe it's an annual plant, considering it's over 7 feet tall, the central stem is over an inch thick, and looks like a trunk, that at three feet high, branches out in all directions.

Cat-faced male spider in Bozeman, Montana. He is light brown with brown and cream banding on his legs. He is on the white corner trim of a house, facing downward. Trip to Zoo Boise yesterday. The Pied Crow, (Corvus albus) has always struck me from some angles as a black crow in a white tank top.

Interior of a animal habitat at Zoo Boise, green cinder block walls, with sand floor, a rectangular opening to the outside enclosure, a tree trunk, a piece of firewood (obviously not for a fire), a black plastic water/food bowl on the floor, and a pied crow (Corvus albus) perched on the bowl. It is black with grey legs and feet, and has white feathers on its breast and up around its shoulders. Pied crow walking across a sandy floor at Zoo Boise.

Sad that I instinctively knew who you were referring to before seeing the post you were responding to. Gabbard never changes.

Prairie Fleabane (Erigeron strigosus) is blooming in my backyard. It's a biannual; can seed prolifically. Debating letting it go to seed. Some consider it a weed. Think I'll let it go this yr. Contemplating turning a good portion of the backyard into a native plant area like I did w/the front yard.

Erigeron strigosus, Prairie Fleabane growing in dry grass. It is a clustered flower about 14 Green plants in the background with a Erigeron strigosus, Prairie Fleabane blossom in the center, with a native bee mimicking flies harvesting pollen. Long narrow white petals surrounding a yellow center. The fly has white and black horizontal stripes on its abdomen.

Enigma is an anagram for gamine, a French word for young girl on the streets that is is alluring. I can completely see Epstein using that as a sly code for all of the young girls he was trafficking. Not hard to see that he could have shared that meaning with Trump.

I'd assume from the umbrella, this isn't the mailman's first run-in with these three hooligans.

A local North End mailman has had to resort to an umbrella forcefield to fend off the fighter squadron of wild turkey jakes here in #Boise. These 3 jakes were not letting up on him, circling. If your mail is late, be understanding. The mailman has been through some things. I asked if he needed help.

A mailman in shorts and white sunglasses, smiles nervously as he stands on a corner holding a blue and white patterned umbrella down in front of himself, fending off two large Jake turkeys. The male turkeys are circling him, and chasing him. There is a stop sign at the corner, a grey house and white rail fence, big green bushes and an apple tree behind him. There is asphalt between the turkeys and my vantage point in the middle of the intersection.

I just got an ad on Facebook for Saks Fifth Ave. This PRADA straw visor is $2,600. First of all, this is the stupidest thing I've seen, and is more than many people's monthly mortgage. Secondly, people that can already afford to waste money on it are getting a new massive Federal tax break.

Borrow pit along State Street, Idaho Highway 44, thick with Common Teasel, (Dipsacaceae, Teasel family), Cattail (Typha latifoliaand), some Poison Hemlock (Conium maculatum). Cattail is the only native plant.

Flowering teasle, along with several teasle seed heads. The heads are tarnish green long spiny egg-shaped balls. The flowering one has a ring of tiny lavender flowers horizontally around it. There are some dry things tan stalks of poison hemlock around it. Blue sky at the top, then a horizontal line of Idaho State Highway 44, then a large patch of 5-foot high green plants in the borrow pit. Lots of tall teasle plants, some Poison Hemlock, and a few native cattails.

Cloudy out tonight, July 3rd, 2025, in #Boise, Idaho. Can still see some stars peeking out as the breeze blows the clouds by, one after another.

Puffy white clouds on the left and bottom of the picture, with a dark sky night sky on the upper third of the picture and down the right side. There are white pinpricks of stars peeking through the clouds and across the dark sky.

GOP is going to gut #Medicaid, but pushed the date for cuts till after the midterms so impacts won't be felt till after people vote. Dems need to get messaging out to make sure they aren't blamed for impacts of #GOPMedicaidCuts if they manage to take back the House & Senate. GOP will shift blame.
