The movie itself was great on it's own but then you have the christian messaging, one of my favorite movies of the year honestly most of the plot was mediocre but the songwriting and animation was really good
i loved the christian messaging in the movie too, iirc ejae is christian and cited that as a driving force behind some of the songs she wrote also the streaming version of Your Idol includes a poem practiced by the Catholic Church in the 1300s if i'm not wrong.

reflected on the nasty stuff i said on twitter, grief, personal things happening in my life, feeling alone due to the pandemic and divorce, and that book and camp and everything just kinda opened that up and it's been great
anyway her memoir has really interesting journal prompts that i didn't know about that i've also been journaling about and i get to learn more about one of my favorite artists and more journaling and reflecting on myself and how to make my life better.
i started listening to a lot of madison beer shortly before and after camp and still do and saw she had a memoir, ordered it, and it goes into a lot of deep topics and i relate to some of the stuff which i didn't think I would lol, 26 year old female pop star versus a 16 year old dude lol.
for context the summer camp i came back from lead me to have an introspective on my life and everything i was doing i deleted bluesky off my phone and rarely use it on my pc i started journaling shortly after camp and now I do it every day, it's relaxing and soothing
