In 1936 the UK for one could not have prosecuted a war - it lack the equipment, industrial supply chain etc. Chamberlain pushing defence spend from under 3% to 9% provided the essential foundation. This went up another 3-fold and only by 1943 did UK industrial production outstrip Germany's.

So different to what Starmer used to be. So either he was duping people back then or he's doing it now. Either way he's either tried to con the public then or now and in that respect is no better than Farage.

Here is Weizenbaum in 1976 clearly expressing my own view: using AI as a psychiatric tool to treat human beings is not just wrong, it is obscene. I believe we should be using the term “obscene” far more often to describe these perverted uses of AI technology.

I would put all projects that propose to substitute a computer system for a human function that involves interpersonal respect, understanding, and love in the same category. I therefore reject Colby's proposal that computers be installed as psychotherapists, not on the grounds that such a project might be technically infeasi-ble, but on the grounds that it is immoral. I have heard the defense that a person may get some psychological help from conversing with a computer even if the computer admittedly does not It is said to ignore the shortage of good human psy-chotherapists, and to deny to troubled people what little help computers can now give them merely because presently available computers don't

He will never be asked that question, the media will keep pushing this agenda, because their owners want to. Where owners are not oligarchs, such as BBC, they too will push the agenda, because govt wants them. Starmer is a first class idiot.

Did you know Facebook secretly ran an experiment on 693,000 people? In 2012, they altered users’ feeds: some more negative, some more positive. The roots of digital manipulation run deeper than most realize! Watch the full interview with Dr. Rebecca Lemov here: youtu.be/MudTcmYH5lk

Reform UK, which has a grand total of four MPs, was just given an uninterrupted platform for an hour and a half on the BBC and Sky News channels, in order to talk about its plans for mass deportations When was the last time the Greens (with four MPs) or the Lib Dems (with 72) were given the same?

Quite simple. Birchall is white and works in the UK. Recall that the material scientist who provided the plastic tracheas was sanctioned by UCL. Important distinction, that scientist was not white. HoL doubtless awaits Birchall and UCL governance will be given a medal.

“Birchall could get away with this behaviour because there are greater safeguards for animals having experimental surgery than for children and young adults subjected to identical experimental surgery” 🤬I have never understood how there were such different outcomes for Macchiarini and Birchall.

It's utter nonsense to focus on something like 'Operation Raise the Flag.' If people were genuinely patriotic, they would be putting that same energy into cleaning up the streets and contributing to their communities instead of just flying a flag.

I wonder if part of it is also that (some of) those attending the asylum seeker protests explicitly or implicitly threaten violence and disorder. They are frightening, and politicians both stoke and fear them, in a way that polite peaceful protesters simply aren’t.
