The labor costs include healthcare in the US where it does not overseas. Because they are sane. Even with higher wage rates, we could compete but not with the additional healthcare costs. And let’s not discuss the lack of safety for any non-US national trying to work in the US.
The single fastest way to bring jobs back to the US is Medicare4All. Yes, there is a global contraction in work. The cost differentials are not just labor wage rates (it’s like 50%) there are no healthcare/pension costs. And they shoot efficiently because they insist on prep. Long drought coming.

That higher standard is to apply an intellect to balance emotion, in this case mostly rage and resentment, not to negate one or the other. But that would mean critically looking at one’s resentments. In 12 step parlance, they lack rigorous honesty. We won’t be able to repair this without it.
