At this point I wish we could have Obama or Bush back. May not have agreed with all of their politics, but at least they weren't trying to destroy the country. Come to think of it those two get along. one of the best transitions in our history. I wonder what '28 is gonna look like.
THe first mass shooting I think of is one that happened in San Diego at a Mc Donalds I think in 1986. THere's the Austin Tower sniper in the 1960's but I don't count that one so much
My D in law is a nurse. she told me that there is an increase in covid cases, but it's weird. The people that are testing positive are mostly asymptomatic and it only shows with routine tests. They don't know they have it.
Covid. I got one shot. a year later I got a booster. A Since then I have not had a cold, a flu or bronchitis flare up.
The amount of money we made when both were working was spent on fuel, dry cleaning, day care, eating out, so when it was over we had bratty kids eating crappy food and 20 extra dollars. We switched roles. Being a "housewife" isn't easy. I sucked at it. I did learn how to hand wash dry clean only.

But again none of that really matters until we take a serious look at why people are losing the plot and committing these crimes in the first place. And I don't mean just shift the blame from gun to anti-depressant. Millions of people take those and they don't kill either. So what is it?

That's nice. Only with what I get paid, I would have to live in a tent if I lived there. At the same rate of pay here, I have my own home. I've been able to take decent vacations - even visiting your state. When someone leaves our state, we don't charge them for it. We don't even pay income tax.
I have a friend in Geelong. He'll tell you a very different story. They never had our level of gun play to begin with. their laws didn't limit much cause they didn't have much. NOW guess who has the guns? Also, look at the number of intrusive laws they passed once they dis-armed the populace

Also. I live a few hundred middle north of Mexico, They have some of the strictest gun laws in this hemisphere. anything over .22 caliber is considered a military round. We see how well those laws work there.

I believe in having my cake and eating it too. I think with guns, a first time buyer needs to take a training course. Different types of guns require a seperate class or whatever. Bog them down with that, and I think it'll help weed out the bad guys. But We need to do more than just guns.
