This is very important.

It is still legal to log and mine in nature reserves.
Great news
Why not then protect humans from the drug cartels?
Mexico elected a real president.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❣️❣️❣️❣️
It’s a serene breathtaking area… so that’s fantastic!
Trump Plaza and Casino Belize.
...will be bombed if it actually happens.
and if a county succeeds, masses of tourists will come and trample everything down ...
Uughhh, I wish I lived here, at least SOME COUNTRIES look good
Awesome
If not COVID conspiracy, or calling Kamala Satin's sexkitten, or testifying to the glory of Honest Elon's "fraud-finding" rich tax funding---COULD U AT LEAST FACE that the misdirected misfit puppets mocking "woke" are confessing their own pre-existing struggles with being excluded...from SOMETHING.
Yay!!! Does this mean more axolotls?
Delighted to see this. Visited the Mayan Riviera earlier this month and was amazed by its natural beauty and abundant Mayan ruins.
Brilliant
The jungle out there is absolutely gorgeous
I love this. We need more international cooperation with all nations.
Awesome ❤️.
Wonderful
That's what we call the White House...where we put all the pigs.
Best news.
Kudos.
Great! The area just moved up a notch on my list of places to relocate to. All were already in my top ten.
…. And the value of eco tourism
Nothing will protect the earth From the copious plague Of human birth Try as you might With more and more human birth, We will surely loose the fight! Do you smell smoke?
That is awesome! I wonder if Felon47 will try to take that land next, after Greenland.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍
Isn't Trump selling all the Americas public land right ??????
Tbf, there are plenty of transnational reserves already in the world. Brazil and Argentina both have NPs around the Iguazu Falls. China and Russia have bordering NPs that protect Amur leopards and Siberian tigers. Kenya and Tanzania have an NP and national reserve in the Serengeti. And many others.
The Riverina Mayan Juggle is absolutely magical! ✨ We enjoyed our experience there near Tulum this summer and can confirm they take protecting their natural habitats seriously with environmental taxes on tourism, no plastics and sun screen that’s clean of chemicals. 🌿💦
RIVIERA MAYAN JUNGLE 🙄 Sarah
Typo thanks autocorrect and it’s not all caps. 😂 Riviera Maya. Have you even been there?! 😂
We need that correction capability!
Agree Brenda! I get so excited when I see beautiful inspiring places! Pros/cons of auto correct on our phones. ☺️
And who takes time every time to review?? (my phone just through the word "conversation" in the middle of that for me ... worse when it also tries to think for you!)
Thanks Brenda! I almost deleted and reposted, but agree. I’m passion about beautiful, amazing places and experiences! We leaned so much from locals about the history of Mayan Jungle and the region. They’re kind and welcoming and we were grateful for our experience. 🤗🌿🫶
See, now I know you're passionate and learned a lot ... without having to roll my eyes! 😉
Ha yes, appreciate the kind words! 🤗
*threw*!!!
Thank you to these countries. We have national, state and county parks. I hope we keep them.
In Ecuador the land itself has been given rights (to exist even tho it is being strip mined by the government)
Guatemala is going to cooperate with Belize on something? Seeing's believing on that one.
Oh! This is awesome!!!
A laudable partnership 🤜👊🤛
Visited Belize and was impressed with the people who desire to make the country better for ALL.Their respect of the forest, their rules on fishing, their treatment of the Mayan people. It is a wonderful example of a people who see the benefits of everyone thriving and their ecosystems thriving.
Belize is a trash-ridden country. I went to the coast and it was covered in garbage dumped by Belize garbage authorities.
As with any country Belize isn't perfect. There are good people working for the greater good then there are people who just don't care. As a small developing country we have a long day to go still.
I would absolutely love to visit Belize when the world is not in so much turmoil. It seems like it isn't safe to go anywhere out of Canada right not. Terrorism in Europe (including UK), and other problems in Latin America (Central & South). I have visited Costa Rica and would love to return.
Only terrorists we have is our government who doesn't do shit about anything.. but that's it
Terrorism in Europe???
Yeah wtf are they on about?
They are Canadian. That’s all I have on them 😂
Nature reserves are located in America
On behalf of my ancestors thank you.
About time 👍🏼
Mexico has a real leader
🥳🎉🎆
That's a nice sentiment, but I'm guessing you're not thinking of countries like Indonesia, where palm oil plantations are encroaching on rainforests at an alarming rate?
States are joining together to develop their own health guidelines initiatives, other countries are joining together, there's a belt and road initiative throughout Asia, and the US? Standing around with our micropenis in our tiny, bruised hand.
Wonderful!
And the killer plants that eat college co-eds
For this trio of countries to work together is astounding. Great accomplishment!
👏
A great idea! I have been to Mayan ruins and jungles. Maybe some other countries, aka, America will do the same thing. Just a wild thought and hope...
I was there! Good for them!
Perfect! Grab all your fellow angry, USA hating blue haired libs on this vile poison of a platform and FUCKING MOVE THERE! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Some very good news, indeed. Thank you.🙏☺️
Hell yeah
Most of these new found antiquities were recently discovered by aircraft using LIDAR!
Good for them. Oligarchs would just build resorts and we’d have to pay them.
Best thing I’ve read on blue sky today
That's the way we do it. Tourism is an excellent industry that depends on respect for natural beauty.
Crazy fact: I live in Fort Myers, FL, and you can imagine the politics here yeesh, but the state of Florida does protect its environment fiercely, which is why that stupid holding camp in the Everglades is going bye bye. Also 95%!of residents believe in climate change. I was shocked!
Taught as much
Bravo !!!
So beautiful! I hope some day soon Americans learn the value of the gifts Mother Earth has given. That would, of course, require drastic rewiring, closing the circuit of greed and opening the power of gratitude.
I hope someday humans learn nature has value in its own right, apart from the gifts it has given us.
Once Putin kicks the bucket, I’d like to see Russia cut in half and everything east of the Yenisey River become an international nature preserve.
There are still good news in this world.
Not before running 50 trains trough tho
Brilliant
Some good news
Right here in North America!
Maya are the people, Mayan is the language.
Bravo to all involved. They get it.
And history.
These governments, representing their oligarchies, are more interested in preserving tourism, while they help imperiliasm attack the rights of migrants and the working class. www.wsws.org/en/articles/...
Yessssss! This is how it’s done!
Watch the CULT OF THE GOLDEN CALF find a way to get involved or derail the project...probably derail it as a threat to the world and to the US...
Cool.
Beautiful
Mexico is also currently destroying jungle and Mayan ruins to rapidly build a rail line for tourists in the Yucatan
#withalttext Stone ruins of ancient Mayan structures are partially covered by lush green jungle in the background. Overlaid text reads: "Mexico, Guatemala and Belize are joining forces to create a Tri-National Nature Reserve to protect the Mayan Jungle."
How absolutely wonderful ! I hope more and more countries follow suit!! We won’t of course because we have a monster in the White House and the brainless “walking dead” doing his bidding ☠️
this is so good...protecting the planet and history and culture...all good!
👏👏👏
Fantastic!!!!
Thank God some sanity in this corrupt world!
I lived in Mexico for four years there government does care about protecting trees for sure I know from talking with local farmers..
best thing I've read in a while✨
bsky.app/profile/patr...
Trump is going to impose punitive tariffs for this
Love this!!!♥️
It's difficult to undestand why México's former president allowed to created the Maya Train to attracked turism if they wanted to recognized the value of NATURE as a whole!! :(
It's difficult to understand what you're talking about.
Almost all countries except the U.S.
My friends are moving to Costa Rica to escape the US while they can. They’re already in love w that country’s devotion to natural preserves, among other benefits.
Lake Atitlan in guat was amazing!
Crazy how some of our big leaders don’t want to lead the way to better futures for our people.
The current party in Mexico's power just destroyed millions of trees and ran a hideous scar of a train right through virgin jungle, are actively blocked fauna from crossing, or killing jaguars outright as to not inconvenience operations. This means nothing.
*blocking
Really good news!
huge.. if it gets executed properly
Wonderful news.
IPresident Obama wanted to develop green energy because he didn't want the US to fall behind in this emerging market. But republicans have contempt for the environment & we are falling behind. I don't think the US could elect an environmental scientist like Mexican President Sheinbaum.
Conservatives, who lack ingenuity, apply decades old solutions to current problems, inevitably leading to failure.
Fabulous!
Mexico, this you? bsky.app/profile/raph...
Trump is going to strip mine our forests for all the natural resources and leave the earth scared, polluted, and uninhabitable.
Thank you #Mexico #Guatemala and #Belize.
The Republicans don’t want to protect our environment. They only want to profit from it. cbwrong.blogspot.com?m=1
Maybe it helps having a President who hasn’t spent the majority of his life surrounded by concrete.
Maybe consider giving him a concrete suit
Wonderful news. That part of the world is so beautiful and ecologically-diverse. 😁😁😁
Someone had to, corporations are only into destroying the beauty and the environment
Very cool
There is no universally accepted “collapse” theory of Maya. Maya people exist today in their millions, they have radio in Mayan language and continue to fight for their right to exist following the Caste War of Yucatan. They continue to practice what we would call permaculture cultivation.
3 Separate Countries Cooperative to Conserve Nature. Gives me hope. #resist #unify
Please review apple.news/Am9IoJ9xKQ1W...
That is to offset the fact that they are building a rail link connecting all three countries, which will plow under vast swaths of environmentally fragile jungle.
Riiight. The same regime in Mexico that felled 8 million trees, destroyed underground caves. All for a train that derailed since new, has very few passengers and loses tons of money. One orange snake doesn't make the other snakes any more acceptable.
💧💧💧💧💧 Wait, wait... Those rocks could be countertops, and if you push over those trees, you could see what kind of land you have! Looks snakey! Golf course! It needs a golf course with condos! But before we do that, let's dig around and drill. Might be something to sell! 💵😀👍 Needs work!
Love this!
Some Nations still do recognize the need to preserve land.
Excellent!
Where you at @honduras?
Fabulous
Fantastic news 👍.
Imagine...working with other countries for good...what's that like?
youtu.be/ERgQ4KjSahg?...
I mean... if true... that's really cool.
That's an inspiring and beautiful piece of news. You go, Mayans!
This is awesome.
Good
perfect
Great news!
Or even if they only recognize tourism opportunity whatever it takes for conservation.
Seems the only thing the US can do is unite other countries for good causes the US no longer supports.
Hey, if 47 turns the human race against authoritarianism then he has served a purpose.
Glad to see this but México just built a giant tourist train through virgin Mayan jungle.
You have it right. The leftist government destroyed cutting over 20 million trees, sold overseas. No environmental studies done, just on the whim of an oversize ego dictator. He destroyed Oppenheimer cenote. Any questions, look up mexican environmentalist who are working tirelessly to save them.
I’m sure It’s a long investment, they will be selling Americans nature adventures in the future when the “Above the Border” is toxic..
Good news to us and nature.
Brilliant.
Aww hek, just let Trump build a golf course.....
Unlike here in the U.S Trump wants to sell everything off to the highest bidder.
This us just fantastic. So much history. So much to still discover.
Excellent news!
My wife will love when I show her this. She is from Guatemala!!
💖💖
What a concept! Cooperation!
👏👏👏👏👏💜💜💜💜💜
Very cool to know that.
I can hear the right whining about how woke they are.
THANK YOU, Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize!
Thank you!
And our a$$hole wants to cut down our national forests.
tRump wants to have them open for oil drilling.
Excellent!
That is fantastic.
People can work together with the exception of Trump...
Thank you. Mexico , Guatemala and Belize. VOTE.
They had to do this because some foreign investors were creeping in…
While our "president" is selling off drilling and lumber rights in our National parks!
🙌
👍💙👍👍good for them
Well done, you!
👏👏👏👏
Good for them
And to work together to do so. 👍
Dope idea! There's alot of undiscovered ruins and lost history to be reclaimed deep within those jungles too. We should protect them🇨🇦👌
I agree. But they Mayans destroyed jungles for agricultural purposes which led to their eventual demise. They weren't in the business of preservation.
Hard to know what declined thier civilization. All civilizations greatly changed thier environment.
I hear ya. Most people did back in the day. But not in the scale of what McDonalds and other companies are doing today.
For their location, it was on that scale. They denuded most of the Yucatan, southern Mexico and northern Central America. It temporarily allowed their population to explode and then they exceeded the carrying capacity of the land. It's happening all over again.
We never learn.
You guys realize there were dozens of other civilizations over 5000+ years in these areas with millions of people right? Some were custodians of the rainforest. Some not so much.
Do you care to share the archeological record of those "dozens of other civilizations" in that exact region?
We’re having an archaeologist golden age in central and SA. YouTube LiDAR and south / central America. There is a lot of info out in the last few years about this. Maybe try top 10 archaeological findings with LiDAR in various areas.
I saw news about the "new" sites in Peru. But nothing for the locales of the Mayan Empire.
Whole world has done that though. Too many people is fundamentally the world's problem.
Too many people using our current means of farming and how we source protein.
Current form of energy acquisition, and pretty much everything else. Thanos had the right idea! 😂
What Thanos got wrong: •being random w/the 50% •not waiting til planes landed, cars pulled over, etc It’s not like it’d be hard to get to 50% of world population if you include all the rapists, pedophiles, misogynists, religious crazies, MAGAt equivalent, & other scum we’d all be better off without
😂
Wasn't every nation on Earth. The UK should be covered in forest but we stripped that bare hundred or even thousands of years ago
Same thing to the eastern U.S. when settlers first arrived and burned only wood for heat. Now that range is completely reforested.
Uhh the Mayans still exist 🤣🤣🤣
So because they fucked up means we should continue that trend???
You are the only one saying that.
Please review apple.news/Am9IoJ9xKQ1W...
I think, first step is aerial LiDAR surveys.
Oh hell yes the highest quality kit flown low and slow for sure is the first step👌
🎶Trump paved paradise and put up a parking lot.🎶 -Joni Mitchell
Sounds great 😊
Hi there How are you doing?
I hate to burst your bubble about "governments" doing something valuable on saving the Mayan jungle. The leftist mexican government of López Obrador destroyed over 20 million trees sold overseas, cenotes underground springs wild life to build a train that is destroying the natural beauty.
Fantastic initiative! And so encouraging in the current climate (pun intended) 😉
If I learn Spanish and stay kind do you think they’ll let me come hang out too 🥲
Love it
💙

In "China"?!? Are you shitting me?
This is exceptionally good news!
Hopefully they ban tourons.
Awesome! I am thrilled to hear it.
That's awesome!!
Ooooo I love this. The beauty and mystery of that land should be a tourism magnet!
This is great news! Saw my first Keel-billed Toucans, Yucatan Spider Monkeys, Black Howler Monkeys, Morelet's Crocodiles & a Jaguar in jungles of Belize. Were talking about such a sanctuary then. Glad to read it's happening!
Plus, there's tons of ruins to get to.
How wonderful.
Love this news!
The world's finding out that they don't need America and the only loser is America.
Looking at you now, Brazil.
That news eases my heart to hear. I have been sooooo disheartened by the plunder of our earth for the sake of greed.
Guatemala too? Because when looking on the google map one can see the border between Belize and Guatemala quite clearly by the level of deforestation…
Lol... "The Mayan Jungle." The Mayans used slash and burn agriculture. Clearing most of the jungle for food crops. Ruining the soil in a few crop cycles because it wasn't used to direct sunlight. Then cleared more. It's why their empire collapsed.
Wish we did! Floridahhh is clear cutting EVERYTHING! 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔😭😭😭😭
❤️
I thank them.
King Charles is the head of state in Belize & a climate change action supporter, Mexico has a female president, and Guatemala is seeing severe climate change damage. Makes sense they are taking action. Prince William’s Earthshot prize partially funds this with satellite verified carbon credits.
Best wishes and good luck.
Now that’s smart ✊👍❤️
💪👍👏👏🧡
Keep up the good work Someone has to
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Great!
awesome
