All fair points, I have no dedicated alliegiance to any party. This past election, I feel comfortable that Mark was the best choice available for the situation we are living in. No politicican is perfect and I am not running out to the store to buy ball hats or T-Shirts with ayones feace on them.

Yes mental health is a problem, as a sane person would not do this sort of thing. That said, you just took away the money used to treat that mental health. Also, it is exceedlingly easy for someone who is mentally unstable to go buy a gun. So all these things can be true at the same time.

I'm in Canada, but for an outsider point of view, I think he is far from perfect and Kamala would have made a better President. That said, Newsom is more aggressive and abrasive which is what is needed to oppose MAGA in a election, no matter who the Rep candidate ends up being.

I think if a person is illegally detained with no opportunity for due process, and locked up in a concentration camp that does not meet basic human rights and is essentially a crime against humanity, than those people have all the right in the world to riot and escape to save their very lives.

Giving they are National Guard, it means most of them likely have day jobs, so I would imagine they are quite infuriated themselves. Some likely had to leave behind jobs in healthcare, teaching, the trades or any number of things, to go to Washington to rake leaves.

education in general is the enemy for them, it is easier to control and influence an uneducated population.
You can be religious and that is ok, so long as you understand you can do more than one thing at a time. You can prays and pass laws to protects people from shootings. Same as if you are dying of a disease, sure pray if it helps you, but please also seek medical attention.
I feel like a good starting point for States being invaded by ICE would be to use the local police to protect the citizens instead of protect and assist ICE.

All the countries mentioned had a singular moment that was a coming to realization for each. Each case was a mass shooting that basically pushed a big change in the way guns were handled, driving huge legislation changes, all of which was supported by the population. The U.S. has yet to reach this
Totally fair point. This administration is not concerned about "rules", "laws", or "ethics" and will subvert them at every turn in order to push through their nefarious objectives. We need to stop thinking that they can be reasoned with like normal empathetic people, they can't.
Its almost like politicians need some kind of Empathy test to see if they can actually have some basic level of human compassion needed to eefectively carry out work in a public office. Most currently in office would most certainly fail this test, which is very sad indeed.

When there is clear evidence that gun laws work in almost every other first world nation. It is exceedingly clear that tolerating school shootings is a choice made by the country. They will not end until the people (majority) decide they have had enough. Until then it will continue to be the norm.
Gun laws never fully elimintate guns, but they make it far more difficult to get them. It is the diference from being able to walk into a Walmart and get one for 200 bucks, vice a strict gun law country where you would have to buy one off the Black Market for 4000 bucks.
That tracks when you consider they had no problem canceling government funding for childhood cancer. They only care about fetuses and the incubators, they don't give a shit about children or moms.
