I think that there are better democracies in the world than the US that don’t have guns freely available. The availability of guns in the US will certainly fuel the civil conflict that Trump is engendering. All part of the Putin Plan.

I will admit that I have sometimes worried about (obviously) Trump's relationship to Putin and (importantly) the prospect of a Trump-Modi authoritarian nationalist axis. But actively pushing India into an embrace with China and Russia via trade & migration policy is a strategically terrible outcome.
