I just learned yesterday that while Rush will wear you out, "Edge of Seventeen" will knock you flat. You're playing that steady 16th pattern for almost 6 minutes 😫
Mostly I've been belly-drumming, since we're in recliners. Left hand hi-hat & cymbals, right hand snare. Probably looks like I'm having a fit when I start doing Rush songs😆 That's what led to me digging out some sticks...then a pad...then that stupid drum toy. Wish I'd known how fun it could be!
If I stay on dialysis much longer, I'm gonna learn both of those songs and lie there in my recliner drumming the hell out of 'em.

From what the doc says...not likely. I've been at Stage 4 renal disease for months, stage 3 for years before that. If I don't keep fluid intake under control, I could be right back to it.

A landlord turned off Tenant Client's family's heat upon learning Client was an immigrant. Landlord hired three different law firms to argue this was legal, then fired each one after they couldn't get our case dismissed. This week, landlord settled for enough that Client will buy a house.
Got notification from dialysis clinic that (thanks to favorable tests) I may be coming off dialysis in the next few weeks.
We know what happens next.
When they start coming for disabled people… you should get concerned, not supportive of them. Because history shows they never end with disabled people, it’s a gateway to the rest of society. (Going after disabled people is bad enough though without anything else happening)

Good news, going into the weekend: --after submitting a 24-hour urine for testing, I just got a call from the dialysis clinic: doc says to skip the next 2 sessions. If Thursday is good, I'm on the way to getting off dialysis--though it'll always be lurking nearby.

I'd imagine it was as uncomfortable as the Greyhounds I rode back in the Army Basic days. They shuttered everything at Ft Jackson for 2 weeks around Xmas 1986, sent everyone home on regular bus/plane. Bus was crowded, restroom was tiny, and we stopped at every dot on the map.
