If they really must do it then it should be completely anonymous. My idea is to go down to a local service station, newsagent etc who can verify your ID physically (and not stored) then give you a code to unlock the account.
Online age verification is not like "showing ID to buy alcohol" because a) the liquor store doesn't get to scan your ID and store a digital copy of it forever in a database that will inevitably get hacked b) you don't have to show ID to go to the library because they have cocktail recipe books

It was more of an issue in the past with pure yeast directly from a farm or wherever they came from. These days the packet they come in has extra stuff to stop the salt from interacting.
I had the same thought doing a baking course at uni lol It doesnât matter *too* much. Just donât touch them directly, yeast can tolerate a little bit. Think of yeast as a slug. Before mixing everything together put them at separate ends of the mixing bowl with the sugar next to the yeast
