I don't believe the issue is the same between those two games but I agree they probably didn't deserve to exist.
I would argue remakes exist to improve because those limitations don't exist. Maybe those limitations have importance to Metal Gear but P3 is a genuinely janky mess that needs some big reworking. Reloaded in my opinion made some gameplay improvements but didn't actually improve the experience.
