Well no, in PR you often get the candidate the party prefers not the one you vote for. With PR if just 1/650th of Britain voted Reform some poor constituency would have got Nigel Farage whether they voted for him or not. PR produces coalitions but that has helped the right in Europe.
Billy, in Europe PR has led to a wave of extremist, largely extreme right, new popularist parties, unencumbered by legacy sweep into power. Is there a strategy or voting system that can make this less inevitable? Genuine question!

Looking at the reports the problem seems to be that it doesn't work for enough patients to approve it, and approving it implies that it works for most. There should be a system that allows drugs to be prescribed if patients accept clear risks and efficacy concerns. Cost then becomes an issue too....
