Remember as social worker to a family w multiple needs in the 90s. It was so obvious. We supported them and parent was able to retain good career. This paid off in so many ways. But. There were expectations that maybe he should give up his job and do the caring. Had to advocate v strongly for them.

One way is to use e books from your local library Not everything is available but they are free and we need to support our libraries I know some people still v wedded to paper but for those who don’t mind e readers it’s a way of limiting use of Kindle purchases.

My experience claiming CHC for my mum was horrendous. 3 applications and 2 appeals to NHSE. Success in the end, partly as with a background in social care I knew how to navigate it all The CCG ignored the rules and the main aim was to get you to give up thru war of attrition

A private equity firm just bought £1.6 BILLION worth of the NHS. It will make bigger profits by hiking rents for hospitals and NHS facilities. Previous govts privatized the estate. That means less money for frontline healthcare. NHS already drained by PFI and private contractors.
Now all we have to do is sort water, gas, electric, trains, housing, and the biggy.. health
