Very happy with Chaplin coming back. Now if we can just go and get Kuhl and Beresford back we'll be properly on our way. #Pompey

I was actually jealous of the weather watching it! I would kill for some swirling drizzle.

We're missing a proper creative midfielder to play off Segecic and we're massively missing that bit of steel and needle. Second half was a slog but 3 points are 3 points.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
Hmmmm.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
Not pretty, we're missing that creative spark but grinding it out.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
It was a nightmare to play at with the stage squeezed in the far corner. Was an alright pub though. It always makes me think of Radio Victory.

It's their name. American football has nothing to do with football but that's its name 🤷

You know why Americans are so uptight? They don't have squash over here. No Ribena, no Robinsons not even that filth that is Vimto. Disgraceful.

Thank you to BBC Radio 4 Today programme for someone FINALLY holding Reform to account. We need more of this. Reform simply do not have a clue. As soon as they are asked any probing questions and asked for facts it is evident that they are just making things up. Reform are full of hot air.

Cool, that's not what the OP is saying, have a good evening.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
Right, I don't think you're quite grasping what the OP is talking about...it's not about people not being put on a rota...
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
I'm sorry but not being paid for work is not "perfectly normal". It is also not legal in California: www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/faq_pay...
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
That's illegal if you're in the UK and on a contract that isn't zero hours.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
Right. But what's the point? It's a meaningless statistic. Goals are what count.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
Don't want to be that old bloke but seriously, what is bloody xG and why should we care?

I'm a migrant, want to say something? I guarantee that I have contributed more to the UK economy in my life than yourself. Have you ever even left the UK?
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
Do you stand on street corners, shouting at passing cars?
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
No they haven't. Per head of population the UK ranks 17th in Europe for asylum seekers and immigrants. In real terms 5th. Get a fucking grip and learn some facts instead of regurgitation Daily Mail lies.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
That is illegal under international law. A law that was written BY THE UK! People have a right to escape persecution and claim asylum, one day you may have to claim asylum and you will have the right to do so.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
Says the Daily Mail reader. Funny how it was all Labour's fault for 14 years when the Tories were in but as soon as they got booted out everything is suddenly Labour's fault. Wake up you moron.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
...no "they don't." People seeking asylum are not allowed to work, they are not allowed to rent private housing, they are not allowed to claim benefits. Unlike yourself. You don't look like you've worked a day in your life and I can guarantee you are on benefits.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
The Tories crashed the economy pretty successfully. We are nowhere near a Great Depression. Put down the Daily Mail and go and pick up your prescription.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
I live in the US. I don't think you are quite prepared for what a Kasier Permanente run NHS will actually be like. When you live in a country without the NHS you appreciate just how special it is. Reform WILL cut taxes...for the rich. Reform brought Brexit, what a success that hasn't been.

Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
The Tories crashed the economy over 14 years. I hope you were critical of their mis-management of the economy. Reform's economic policies would see the collapse of councils and the NHS, steep tax rises for all but the super rich and privatisation of the whole state apparatus.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
Not funded by Labour, funded by the state. The UK does not have 'open borders'. Asylum seekers are allowed to enter a border without documentation and claim asylum as per 1951 UN Refugee Convention & its 1967 Protocol that the UK is a signatory of Asylum seekers do not receive welfare benefits

Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
My original point is...the Online Safety Act 2023 is not a law that is attributed to Keir Starmer.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
You joined the conversation. Please refer to my original point.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
It is not "Keir Starmer's law" as the original post proposed and many people are claiming.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
So you agree then? The Online Safety Act 2023 is not Keir Starmer's law?
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
You are correct, you seem to think, contrary to all evidence and facts that a bill that was not introduced by him was actually in fact Keir Starmer's law.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
Apparently you don't
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
I couldn't care less if Keir Starmer danced outside in a dress singing how he loved the Act (it is no longer a bill), he didn't introduce the bill, he did not frame the bill, he was not PM when it passed into law. It's not his law. I am not a Keir Starmer fan, simply stating it's not his Act.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
I have done. The bill was introduced to Parliament by two Conservatives. The bill was official Conservative Party policy. The bill was passed into law by a Conservative government. It is not Keir Starmer's law.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
The point I am making is...the Online Safety Act 2023 is not Keir Starmer's law.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
Keir Starmer did not introduce the bill. Keir Starmer was not PM when the bill passed. Keir Starmer did not command a Parliamentary majority to even make the bill law but somehow it's Keir Starmer's Act? Please explain.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
They are facts I'm afraid.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
It is a law introduced by and passed by the Conservatives. To say it is Keir Starmer's law is incorrect.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
I was simply asking you why you thought it should be repealed.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
Michelle Donelan, former Conservative Secretary of State for Science, Innovation & Technology and Lord Parkinson of Whitley Bay, Conservative peer were responsible for introducing the bill that is now the Online Safety Act 2023.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
Bluesky was created by Twitter.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
Any MP can introduce a bill. What part or the Act do you find so repugnant?
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
*repeal
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
We have a Parliamentary democracy. The PM cannot introduce or repeat laws themselves.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
The Online Safety Act 2023...was Keir Starmer PM in 2023?
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
Bluesky was created by who?
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
That as may be. The Online Safety Act 2023 is a Tory introduced legislation that was voted in by a Tory government.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
The Act has only just come into effect. Please see an amendment to the Act: Draft Online Safety Act 2023 (Category 1, Category 2A and Category 2B Threshold Conditions) Regulations 2025, chiefly clarifying what is to be protected. Again, it was an Act introduced and voted through by a Tory gov.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
That as maybe. The Act was introduced and voted through by the Tories. It is indeed in the gift of Labour to repeal or amend the Act but it is a piece of Tory legislation.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
I am not defending the act in any way shape or form.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
I am playing devil's advocate for everyone saying it is a Labour law. It is not. It was introduced by the Tories and signed into law by a Tory government.
Glenn Fryatt (@glennfryatt.bsky.social) reply parent
The Online Safety Act 2023 was not about defeating fascism. It was primarily introduced with the intention of protecting minors. Also people having a go at Labour for bringing this law in should maybe read the date at the end of the Act's name...
