We’re deploying state law enforcement personnel to support public safety efforts around schools and places of worship in Minneapolis. I’m grateful to our State Patrol and DNR officers stepping up to give residents every reassurance that their families and children are safe.
Students deserve to start the school year full of hope and excitement. No child in America should go to school apprehensive of danger, of losing a classmate, of gunshots during prayer.

The Stone Arch Bridge is one of the most iconic representations of Minnesota’s cultural and industrial history. After a year and a half of maintenance, I’m proud of MnDOT for fixing it safely, under budget, ahead of schedule. It’s now officially ready for Minnesota summer!

I visited Bemidji this morning to survey recent storm damage and thank the personnel leading response efforts. Our first responders and county emergency managers are the first on the ground in times of crisis. Their quick actions saved lives this weekend.
I’m headed up to Bemidji to meet with local emergency managers and survey damage from severe storms this weekend. We’re making sure impacted communities have every resource they need to recover and rebuild.
I’m in contact with the Minnesota National Guard regarding tensions in the Middle East. We have several troops performing a federal mission in the region. They are trained, ready, and focused on their mission. We’ll continue to track their deployment and keep them in our prayers.
Following the President’s decision to bomb nuclear facilities in Iran, I’ve directed our public safety teams to be on heightened alert for potential threats to Minnesota. While there’s no known threats at this time, we’ll continue to monitor the situation and respond accordingly.

Last year, we became the first state to build and open three veterans homes simultaneously. I just signed a bill that fully funds the staffing and operations of these homes well into the future. I’m proud of Minnesota’s enduring commitment to better serve those who served us.
