GP500 πΊπ¦πβοΈβπ (@gp5.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes, but that's a mitigation and is a cost of investment. The grid infrastructure has higher requirements then that. There is no free lunch so to say.
GP500 πΊπ¦πβοΈβπ (@gp5.bsky.social) reply parent
That's a personal note, I'm not saying it's not useful. But you also shows cost on a small scale, on a grid And doesn't remover the critics I have on the total system, when a source has high peak production frequency. Ps: didn't not note the secondary capacity needed, for a production mismatch.
GP500 πΊπ¦πβοΈβπ (@gp5.bsky.social) reply parent
Important yes, but also adding more cost and much more work indirectly/directly. With grid capacity increases, which take time. And take space from the grid away for other sources and consumption (by companies mostly). Grids get full, because of the peak production.
GP500 πΊπ¦πβοΈβπ (@gp5.bsky.social) reply parent
Don't trust these prices. Lcoe is already a wrong approach for grid prices. And contracts for supplying haven't been signed.
