One day when she was about a year and a half old I went to visit the guy I got her from. I had a golden then and Jimi and I just let them loose. The golden jumped in the irrigation ditch and Jimi headed, unbeknownst to me, to the field next to his house where he had 30 or 40 cows.
Jimi weighed 35-37 pounds in her prime. Now she is about 28. We had her DNA done some years ago and found a Brittany Spaniel in the wood pile, otherwise she is border collie as far back as they went. Her mom was colored like a Brittany. I got her from a cattle rancher friend near Salmon, ID.

Border collies! I watched my Jimi herd a mouse one day. It popped out from under a wood pile and Jimi herded it to safety under a stack of pallets. Jimi's nose was three inches behind it the whole way. She's a sweetheart and she just had her 17th birthday
