US minimum wage has stayed stagnant at 7.25/hr since 2009. A cursory search shows that a Big Mac in 2009 was averaging $3.57 but is now averaging about 5.79 (with regional differences). Everything is going up in price regardless so you might as well pay the workers so they can at least live.
Even if tariffs were eliminated, with the EPA/FDA gutted, who could trust what’s in that stuff anyway? Right now, I would avoid US products right alongside whatever comes out of China.
