I am still in awe of the so called "smart people" on Wall Street who are pretending these numbers are real. It is a repeat of their magical thinking prior to the Great Recession. Wonder who will play the main characters in the sequel to "The Big Short?"

I agree. I've worked in the construction/homebuilding business for 30+ yrs. We need to do better at regulating it. But one place to start is by prohibiting hedge funds, retirement funds & foreign entities from buying homes. They pay cash well beyond the ask price & artificially inflate the values.

OMG, this brings back memories of a corporate merger my company went through and they gave all of us a copy of this book.
My understanding (and I may be mistaken) is the term "redneck" referred to farmers who could not afford slaves and therefore had to tend to the fields themselves. Don't tell me that these people wouldn't have owned slaves if they were able too. They supported the system.
