My mom says she's okay with transgender people but says children should not be able to change sex. I explained it's not about that, it's about transgender people existing. And tried to give more information but it's hard with someone that just doesn't care about other people.

I have made it my personal mission to get my family and others to have some empathy for people. I told my Mom that I believe "illegal" immigrants are heroes, especially those that are parents. These people love their kids much, they would risk their lives to make life better for them.

I live in Utah, a very red and conservative state. Fascism looks like my family. A couple months ago, my Dad said to me "you know, I just think we need a King." My sister and brother in law voted for DJT after doing "research" and they have zero regrets, on the contrary they love him, even still.

It's odd because, they don't seem to care about their other radically unpopular ideas. They lie. They just make stuff up to justify what they want to do. It's infuriating.
