It's Wisconsin, the trees are changing and we've already had a frost advisory overnight. We might have a few hot days here and there but we'll make due with fans and iced beverages. Maybe a couple extra showers too.
Pretty sure our central AC bit the dust this weekend. I heard it try to kick in with a click but haven't seen the fan move and it's getting toasty. Thankfully summer is wrapping up here so I should be able to save up before next summer. You know if I sell a kidney or two...

I thought it was neat when I got to do it. The only bad part for me is I'm in the very corner of our county so I was paid more for my milage to the courthouse than for the actual jury duty.
I didn't know what to expect from it when I first rode it, but it's a blast. They used to have a small train that you could ride that would go around the coaster and even under a section of it. I think that track has been moved though now.
We don't have any close major theme parks, but in Green Bay the city runs a small one and about a decade or so ago they nabbed the Zippin Pippin which is a smaller wooden coaster. It's a great ride and it costs a whole $1.50 to ride.

We love our house and our location, but the color hasn't been our favorite part. We've decided to tackle painting the aluminum siding and started a bit today.
I'm picturing Tendi as Frodo and T'Lyn as Sam. Tendi doing great carrying the ring for most of the journey while T'Lyn fully supports her and carries her at the end.

I believe they're talking about the Kindle fire line and not the Kindle e-reader line of products. Those are competitors as the Kindle fire runs a locked down version of Android.
This is where I pulled it from: "Visit afraid .org and set a subdomain up for yourself. Then, use the dynamic update script they have on there to set your server to automatically update the reference to your current IP. Your router might even have an option to run the dynamic update script itself."
Just a cursory look into it and it appears that something like afraid.org might do the trick for you, but there's still quite a bit of setup to do 🙃

Completely understand and respect that. Lasers are like table saws to me in that they can do some crazy damage quickly. I do like the safety features that the H2D has though with regards to making sure things are closed when using the laser.
There are a few really low profile options out there that are wireless so you could take it with your macbook and have the option of using either it or the built in.
I think to make up for it, they should send you a fully loaded H2D, all the options and some materials.

IF you're a touch typer, I highly recommend a split keyboard and making use of layers to have more symbols on home row. It also has the added benefit of no one wanting to use your setup for anything nefarious :)

The space directly in front of our house is a no stop/no parking zone since we're on a corner across from a school. The absolute joy when I've tried to be nice and let people know that fact when I see them and then later see the car with a ticket, isn't comparable to anything else.

Had a dumb injury last week. I used a crank operated patio umbrella and when I let go of the handle for the crank it flew backwards and slammed into the bone below my thumb. Now any pressure on either side of my thumb hurts. 😭 Why do I have to get dumb injuries?
There's still one that I consider to be like a sister to me, especially since I've known them for 30 years now. Being an only is different for sure, but I think it let me learn how to embrace having non-blood related family.
See, this is why I'm sad that I'm an only. I never got to have that sibling bond. 🤣 Seriously though, I ended up basically adopting my friends siblings and treating them as my own.
