Children should be safe everywhere, regardless of their family's beliefs. It should be noted that the Catholic Church has long encouraged their followers to vote for anti-choice legislators who don't support sensible gun legislation and haven't use their power to protect children from gun violence.
I agree. I work in an elementary school. Our next lock down drill is in about two weeks. We have a significant number of students with anxiety. Those students started freaking out about lock down drills on the first day of school.
In the late 1800's wealthy Chicago industrialists paid the U.S. army to build a fort outside of Chicago so that armed troops could easily be deployed against U.S. citizens to tamp down labor unrest. If Trump sends troops to Chicago, my husband and I will drop everything to protest this new invasion

Like it or not, our country operates on a two party system. If you vote you exercise your power to choose between two candidates. If you don't vote you allow others to make the choice for you. So I guess you decided to let Trump voters make the choice for you and you should be okay with the results.

I just don't understand why rural Trump voters are so ignorant and so easily manipulated that they keep voting against their own best interests.
I have resigned myself to the fact that Trump will never be held accountable for anything he does. Why? I don't know, but what I do know is that elderly people who don't take care of themselves eventually have some type of organ failure or stroke. It's just a fact of life.
