You’re worrying about parliamentary procedure when we are literally in danger of losing the republic. They don’t care about the rules. They ignore court orders and subpoenas. And when they finish taking control of voting and tabulating,it’s game over. While you’re saying, “not much we can do!”
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
If you honestly think that letter-writing is all that can be done, this is why we are lost. I am not taking about rules. The other side does not care about rules. It is time for true leadership. And the Dems have none.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
To be fair, she is unbelievably dumb as well as sycophantic.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
We are unable to move forward as a country because of all the assholes who insist on clinging to their “heritage.”
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
If only you were part of a political party whose leaders would, you know, do something other than write strongly worded letters.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social)
It’s just hilarious that conservatives think we can all vote on paper ballots on the same day and they can all be hand-counted by midnight on Election Day. Like, math is not your strong suit, is it?
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Right, but red states will just do it, won’t they? And say they have authority because their guy said it. And then someone files suit and then it gets to SCOTUS and we’re screwed.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
“Yes. Because our brain-dead voters care about the former and not the latter. Also, they don’t know what ‘former’ and ‘latter’ mean.”
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Why is this guy so fucking stupid
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social)
If you were vocal about the Cracker Barrel rebrand and silent on the church shooting, you are why we are where we are.

Mike makes some good points here, so be sure to read to the end.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
But wait until you read the letter Chuck Schumer is going to write.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
The sandwich may still face charges, but it had enough lettuce to hire a good attorney.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Yeah, I was intrigued by the premise but it’s craptacular.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social)
Not only is saying a team “punched their ticket” not physically correct anymore, IT’S COMPLETELY HACKNEYED AND YOU ARE A LAZY HACK IF YOU WRITE IT.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
And yet…here we are. Those people’s opinion, sadly, carried the day last November. It would have been exponentially easier to have stopped all this then. And we did not. Precisely because there are a lot of those people. They may not count. But their votes did. Unfortunately.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
If they did, they would not have been chosen. This whole administration is a GPS that reveals the worst people ever.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
“And that’s all I have to say about that.”
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
“Yes, but as long as people who don’t look like me suffer, I am okay with all that,” said 77 million people.

Still as funny as nine years ago today.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
It worked, sadly.

They are going to need a lot of windows for all these people to fall out of.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
We were all supposed to have full-blown AIDS by now, according to That Other Crackpot POS.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
They want paper ballots cast the day of and all counted by midnight that night. Because they can’t do math very well.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
In their minds, it is a pejorative that means “weak.” And when you have a faux strong man at the top of your party, it is an insult. An insult from sixth grade, but an insult nonetheless. Culture wars are all these people care about. Seriously.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
All three of these people are insanely dumb. Now imagine how dumb you have to be to vote for any of them.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social)
“I know you already paid for ESPN+, and we SAID you could watch games on that, but THIS game is only on ESPN Unlimited.” GFY, ESPN.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
“Currently in use” is a fine and appropriate caveat, but your story does not say that.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Given Rickwood Field opened five years before Bosse, no, Bosse is not the third-oldest pro ballpark. (If you include one, you have to include the other.) Warren Ballpark in Bisbee, Arizona actually opened before any of them but its pro history has been spotty. So, whatever. But Rickwood is older.

On this date in 1940, the sports editor of the New York Daily News suggested the Yankees had been infected with polio by Lou Gehrig, which explained why they were then in fifth place in the American League, 10 games back, after winning the World Series in 1939.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social)
It’s not the @nytpitchbot.bsky.social, it is real.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes but it was specifically referring to the skirmishes between musicians and their soda ads. Putting just “rock and roll” at the end of a chronological song that spans 1949-1989 makes no sense. And the CD’s liner notes literally say “Rock and Roller Cola Wars.”
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
“Rock and roller cola wars,” one thing, not two.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Hence the idea that we have exactly the government we deserve.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
I hope so, else someone should have told him to stop running somewhere around attempt 180. (FWIW, the record is 42 by one Rickey Henderson in 1982.)
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
“Realised” was the tell there.

“Let me tell you what, I like goals,” says the analyst on USL’s Phoenix/Tampa Bay game on ESPN2, as if that is a controversial position.

“On Saturday, White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly dismissed the papers as a ‘multi-page lunch menu’ and suggested leaving the information on a public printer was not a security breach.” Nah, once you have discussed military strikes on non-secure phone apps, nothing is a security breach.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
The objective has always been to de-stabilize NATO and install an easily manipulated POTUS who would look the other way as Russia takes whatever it wants. Objective almost accomplished. And certainly will be.

It rains maybe 7 inches a year here in a good year. Tonight there are flood warnings.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Then don’t put them on ESPN, either.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
And now it is canon, like Obama not being available during Katrina.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
That was TOTAL bs.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social)
Y’all get that all the social media posts in the world didn’t keep the 2024 election from going the way it did, right? Why TF do you insist it will work now?

Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
“Yeah. And we are going to keep doing all that stuff, too.” If the leaders of the theoretical opposition party would realize they can’t Sunday Show us out of this, they might make some progress?

If you want to watch college kids play soccer, go watch college soccer. Making their summer gigs into some morality play about “the national championship we deserve” or some such nonsense is navel-gazing hyperbolic schlock.

Unpossible, right?

Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Would have been exponentially easier last November. But despite a billion dollars, some folks could not beat the worst candidate in history, who telegraphed exactly what he was going to do.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Baseball did not nearly collapse in the wake of the 1919 World Series. By the time the trial happened, Babe Ruth had 34 home runs and the game was not in danger of collapse. Reform was needed to restore public trust, obviously. But it did not get near the point of collapse. That’s hyperbole.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Trump could be all over the files and Fox would lead with the best-known Dem who is in them and milk that for a week and Trump would claim the files totally exonerate him.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
The opposition party has had several seemingly easy messages over the last 10 years. How come we’re here?
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Flannigan?
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Because they know for certain their base is illiterate and have a strong suspicion enough of the rest of the country is that they can just dismiss anyone who says otherwise. Do you all get that this has been this administration’s MO forever? Keep saying complete lies, double down. Win elections.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
How come this has not happened yet?
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Just not certain religions, right?
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
I think I had that one back in the day. Who was the artist on that?
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
You’d think, right? Now let’s see it. Because from here it looks like they are going to just keep on doing whatever they want and ignoring anyone who tells them they can’t, and just overturning any 2026 election result that might impede that.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
I will believe there are consequences when I start seeing, you know, consequences.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
It’s almost like we have been saying that for months and months. My gosh, these people.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
To be fair, it’s only like 80 million people, tops.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
And absolutely nothing will happen to him, most likely. We are past the point where shameful behavior actually has consequences.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Oklahoma might be the answer to both.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Or, shoulda had better lobbyists. One.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
You know why? Because there are no consequences. They don’t have to hide anything. Their base will never desert them and the opposition party is spineless.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
You could literally write the conclusions of this committee today, it is that obvious what they will be.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social)
The weird part is that QAnon is based largely on the idea that there is this large ring of pedophiles that has to be stopped. They are not prepared for that ring to be led by their people. Not at all.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
And yet…they will just continue to do whatever he wants. Because his base will never desert him, and Congress is afraid of the violence his supporters will bring upon them if they attempt to rein him in.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
If only James Comer believed in the power of the subpoena.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Absolutely true. And predictable. This was obviously going to happen. And half the electorate said that was fine with them.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
There is no bottom. You might think there is. But we are six months into this thing.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
It’s cute and quaint that anyone believes there will be elections in 2026.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
And everyone says, “Yeah, that tracks.”
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
He’s not going to go on any show that would do that. Nicolle Wallace might do that. But it feels like he would not take that chance or he would just walk off. But, again, it would have been exponentially easier to stop the bill last November than now. Dems are not blameless.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Newsweek sucks royal ass.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
That would require leadership. We are all going to be toes-up because they couldn’t beat the worst candidate in America history with a billion dollars.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Look who suddenly believes in courts of law.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
And Chuck Schumer will send a strongly worded letter.
Kenn (@kenndotcom.bsky.social) reply parent
Because that’s Fox. (That’s Mark Levin, isn’t it? He has no soul.)

Well, yeah. But 25 years ago he was just a lying dipshit racist with limited negative impact on the world.
