When I found out he believes in the miasma theory of infectious diseases, I was thoroughly stunned. That’s like believing that the sun revolves around the earth. Perhaps the next time he has surgery the surgeons shouldn’t bother to wash their hands or use sterile instruments.
A combination of partisanship and blind greed. Perfect example: the rubber stamping of Trump’s cabinet picks even though (to take one example) RFK’s policies could actually hurt them or their families.

He’s always thrown around big numbers but lately he’s become fixated on the trillions he’s added to the deficit. He has to pretend that he’s been promised $15 trillion in investments from other countries and $8 trillion from tariff revenue. Both of those numbers are actually in the 100s of billions.

One of the problems is every interest group develops specific language over time to deal with recurring issues. When Dems campaign they want to be inclusive so they’re going to use the specific language of trans rights, women’s rights, etc in order to signal that they take these issues seriously.
