What a great topic. I grew up in what those who left it, was a Christian cult. As bad as that was, it’s nothing like now. What a mind twist to make a supposed message of love and turn it opposite. Glad to be on the other side with clarity. Thanks for writing such a book.
There is zero shame in having to shift or reduce your workload to focus on managing or healing CPTSD. Yes, that can come w/ economic & logistical hardships, & that absolutely sucks-- but there's no shame in it. It's not a "failure." You are not "bad" or "stupid" or "lazy."

Making recovery supporting decisions doesn't mean making "perfect" decisions. Recovery from CPTSD is not about perfection or pressure, ever. It's about making the best choices we can w/ what we have-- & being realistic & fair w/ ourselves as we make adjustments going forward.

Just a note. All forms of the generic and branded forms of insulin glargine are backordered til late September in my area of southwest Washington State. That’s usually the one taken once per day. It’s noted as a supply chain issue.

Absolutely. Get this, a number of researchers I talked to at conferences copped personally to experiences, but wouldn’t express them publicly. They need to be in the position to be The Researcher, The Expert because they damn well know that The Experiencer is in the position to be judged.
