I know you've gotten tons of advice, but I wanted to mention (from working in animal rescue), that sometimes people find a lost animal and take it home, then to the shelter nearest them, instead of the shelter nearest where they found it. I got to sit in on my kid's high school history because of covid remote classes. I had to clarify the difference between political and economic systems, because that is exactly what happened. Strange obsession with North Korea. Somehow democracy and capitalism were also treated like synonyms.

I am so sorry. My kid has multiple food allergies, including one that doesn't have to be listed on the label in the US, because it's a "seasoning." He can still have some processed food, but it means calling every manufacturer and being very brand loyal.

Btw, I deliberately trained Grendel that when I sing, "Who's a hungry lizard?" it's her mealtime, and she (sometimes) comes running, which is definitely not wild blue tongue skink behavior. (We also accidentally target trained her to chase a laser, which is another whole story.)
Wolves are social animals who spend a lot of brain power and physical energy surviving in the wild. If you *don't* give dogs some kind of activity that uses those traits, like dancing with their humans, they'll find an activity of their own, like eating your furniture. (Besides, wolves DO sing.)

Wow. I've spent enough time with gun users to know that if someone is carrying a pistol, there is ALWAYS a bullet in the chamber. You can't point and shoot if you have to stop and rack the slide. That kind of warning is laughably contrary to the types of uses the gun is designed and sold for.

You are absolutely correct about the bad design. Tbf I used to be scornful of "masculine" looking diaper bags, etc., but now I think things that help normalize child caring by men is useful. Baby steps, so to speak, especially since we're backsliding in the gender roles area.
