I think some people are not sure WHAT to do. I think that for a lot of folks, calling a legislator, showing up at a meeting or rally, taking the time to actually learn about what is going on is doing something. It's the doom thinking without those other things that is poison.

I have a dvd/vhs player because I purchase copies of my favorites. Physical media I can watch even if I get rid of streaming and cable
I have become a caterpillar and other insect factory. I have only containers and a teeny bit of parsley seeded in next to landlord's shrubbery. But by God, my corner is ALIVE with invertebrates (and hummingbirds) thanks to my native plants and few herbs/veggies/flowers. Gardening is a politial act!

I find I skip the self care when I am busy and it just tanks me physically/mentally. So I got my ass up, went to pilates, drinking tea and broke my day into 20 min tasks so I can knock shit out AND take breaks. If you need an accountabilli-buddy for self care, lemme know. I will cheer you on!
