I even gave up on the vegetable garden finally. It hasn’t been a good year between the bugs, heat, etc. Time to take it all down and start focusing on leaves that are already coming down like crazy.
I almost wished she hadn’t dropped out. It would have been more fun to see her get absolutely beaten to a pulp.

It’s so obvious. I think it’s safe to assume anyone who says they don’t see it is all for it. Maybe they just don’t care, but if they allow it to happen they’re just as bad. The ones who don’t care are so dangerous because they fly under the radar and then enable the worst of the worst.

I know someone who reported to him at a former job. I remind that person (almost) daily what a piece of shit he is and that they should think more carefully about where they work. They didn’t say much about him good or bad, just that he was kind of “just there.” 😂

They did a “sting” in my county a few years ago where they put people at corners looking for drivers on their phones. They would call ahead to the cops who were ready to pull them over. They couldn’t even get them all. They only did it one weekend because there was so much outrage and threats to sue
I’ve probably seen them a half dozen times. Last time was a tiny venue in Charlottesville. I got an extra ticket and took my daughter (who was at UVA). She had fun and they’re not her usual type of music (I just took her to the pixies, she’s been wanting to see them for a while).

I have worked in state Highway safety office, so I see a lot of crash data. There is a lot of information available. Big issues with the camera quality. There was also a recent lawsuit that Tesla was electronically changing the mileage on cars so they would go out of warranty faster.
So many reasons not to buy one. Safety being the biggest issue.

That is great, because it can be hard to get all of that to come together. The trial and error for the meds alone can make you want to give up on trying. Don’t get me started on trying to find a good therapist (but I know they’re out there).

Actually just finished reading that book. Pretty interesting read. I had known about some placement of superfund sites and transportation sites, but hadn’t thought about how far back it went with housing.

My daughter learned this at 12 of her narcissistic father. She didn’t want the computer he was offering because something like that would “come with big strings attached.” When she turned 16 she was happy he didn’t buy her a car. She said it would have made her life so much worse, not better.

Is Baltimore perfect? No, but the changes really have been significant. It’s very impressive what they’ve been able to do to decrease crime in such a short period of time.
