You keep using the Taylor Swift analogy. People show up for Taylor Swift because they paid to be there. If it was free you probably would get curious non Taylor fans that show up. Plus that analogy trivializes the situation. I do believe non Progressives and prior non voters are showing up.

What did the George Floyd riots accomplish except completely misrepresenting the BLM movement. Riots in the US are the only ones that really matter in our context. Other systems of government respond differently. The Detroit riots of '67 and '68, L.A. riots of '65 and '92 did nothing.
But what was the point of that? You threw away your vote. This isn't '96. We knew what was at stake in '16 and '20. The last 3 cycles were not elections for protest votes. It was time to accept the reality of the situation, and vote for democracy. Fix the rest after we save our country.
Don't let the percentage fool you. It is a low population. Obviously that will make percentages more dramatic. I lived in Idaho and Wyoming and have spent a ton of time in MT. I even honeymooned there. There are large pockets of progressives. In fact most of Western MT is progressive.

It is frustrating but better late than never. The problem with the Electoral College is it suppresses voter turnout. States like Montana have a lot more Progressives than you may think. They rarely vote since it won't matter because the state will go red anyway. Direct democracy could help.

I 100% agree. I have always been of the opinion that the common person should not own firearms because we are not part of a well regulated militia. However, I now feel it is necessary to LEARN how to use a firearm and then obtain one. It's crazy and depressing. Not how I want my family to live.
