I’m quite sure that other information (maybe not CDC affiliated but government affiliated) like crime statistics and census data will also soon become unreliable - it will be manipulated to reflect what this regime wants it to project.

And at probably 3 times the cost, as these people have to be put in a hotel, require transportation across country and have food provided, unlike the workers that live in the area, pay their own transportation and buy their own food.
Million dollar a day landscapers (the cost of the National guard in Washington) - that’s just what the tax payers have been praying for.
But clean energy doesn’t line the pockets of most of the GOP and some of the dems the way the fossil fuel industry/ lobbyists do.

If they paid attention to the important part of that book (ie the golden rule), it wouldn’t be a problem, but they have elected to focus on the setting (the culture at the time) and not the plot of this book.
