Yep. I have chronic illness and get better results treating myself than relying on doctors to take my symptoms seriously (this isn't to say don't see doctors, vaccines and meds are lifesaving). I can't imagine what its like if you're a Black woman/woman of color with disabilities/chronic illness.

I think a certain subset of people want "revolution" to mean murder purges, rather than reshaping or rebuilding systems better, and I wish they'd stop being disingenuous and just say it so we can avoid them.

Investing in the social services and safety nets like affordable housing, rent vouchers, utility subsidies and funding for alcohol and drug treatment and anti-recedivism programs are ALL helpful to reducing homelessness and all are getting cut with the Trump administration.
