Just off the top of my head people were mad at all kinds of minority representations in the Star Wars sequels and I didn’t notice any preaching at all in those movies. To the right, the representation is the preaching. I just don’t know how you can compromise with them if that is their red line.

If you lose a primary your energy should used to try to win the next one and not to undermine the winner.
Is it possible to convince people that the place to push for your position is in the primary and that when it comes to a general election everybody needs to support the primary winner? This is just so obvious to me that I don’t see why people don’t agree.

It is an absolute leap of faith to think the loser of a primary would do better in the general. It is possible but one would need a ton of evidence to to compete in the general. Also, that doesn’t even matter. They have to win the primary to compete in the general.

Seeing a progressive candidate lose a democratic primary and then declare that they would have done better in the general than the candidate that actually won the primary is not sound reasoning..
That is the idea. My point is that if you don’t want a corporate centrist as a candidate what you need to do is campaign for an alternative in the primary. Implying that the democrats elites pick candidates is garbage. The primary electorate picks the candidate.

It is apparent that Trump uses the stand up comedian method. He is on record of saying that he keeps repeating things that get the loudest cheers at his rallies. The question for me is: would democrats allow a candidate use this method?

It is such a suspicious thing to do that I think there needs to be a very high bar for it to be approved. Something along the lines of a 70% "approval" response from a vote including the entire global population and at least 50% approval in 90% or greater of all countries.
If you were impressed by the way they handled the economy you should be saying that and not complaining about the economy. Help pass the message of how things are better and say how it can be further improved. Being negative about something you know is improved doesn’t help
