To me this “race race” is the cause of almost every global problem we have. We already don’t have enough food and air for everyone on the planet but these people are encouraging more breeding/consuption in order to compete in a make believe genetic war.

Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Hachette, Macmillan, and Simon & Schuster. As far as I’m aware, you won’t get a toe in the door with those five companies unless you go down the traditional route of getting a literary agent.
To be honest, unless you hit the jackpot and score a deal with one of the big five publishers, you are just as likely to do all the leg work as a published author as a self-published one. The first question most small publishers will ask is, how many followers do you have?

No doubt. My hope is that they all find solace on the pitch. For a couple of hours a week they can just think about kicking a ball about and nothing else. When my wife passed, watching Liverpool was a lifeline for me. I could escape my own head for a bit. I hope it works for them too.
I feel like the healthy next step has to be letting this drift into the background now. Grief is painful. To be reminded of it every time they go to work has to be taking a mental and physical toll. We don’t need to forget, we just need to remember in our own way.
