Went through the incircle stack in the parabola in y=x^2. The incircles have radii r = (2n-1)/2 = 1/2, 3/2, 5/2, ... and their horizontal tangents are n^2 = 1, 4, 9, .... The green circles have radii r = n/4 and centres (x,y) = (3/8 sqrt(4n^2-1), n^2-1/8) and the stuff in the other posts

Getting the locus of green centre/radius between the two circles x^2 - 3y^2 + 3y = 0 with radius r=-2y. So put everything in terms of y, then the green circle must touch the parabola (circle and gradient) which gave an ugly quadratic in y (& X) and to get a single soln y^2 coeff = 0. A grind.

As usual there are a few ways to go, but treating the x-axis intersection point as the variable, X, the two tangent gradients / x values of the tangent points are X +/- sqrt(2y(X)) which is a nice simple relationship and you can obv get the value which gives a pi/3 angle.
