I started relying on comments like that with some reference to Jim Crow. When a past CEO remarked that his employees seemed "a bit too pale," he then excitedly talked about plants in the South being more diverse. Long, silent stare at me. "Damn it. It's because of slavery, isn't it?"
As with Jews, I had to research slurs and stereotypes before arriving at a conclusion. Almost everything said applied to white folks in the South and Appalachia.
I often wonder what it's like outside utilities and construction. Are there people who go their entire careers w/o experiencing HR investigations? One weird thing - never witnessed Native American hate in TX. Everyone wanted to be part of a tribe. Eastern WA blindsided me w/ overt, violent bigotry.
No one was fired, but 20 out of 26 people were on their last step in the first investigation. The second investigation wiped out one department, leaving just the manager and admin. The manager had only been there a week and launched the investigation.
We can't pursue solar or wind power anymore as utilities because of the tax penalties. My company froze our projects due to "policy instability." We won't build a goal or gas, soooo....let's hope we have a good snowfall this winter. Maybe hydro will carry us through the midterms.

Some therapists in my area push for home visits or eventually require sessions for child clients or family therapy. I had one who was incredibly pushy about a home visit.

Not their fault, can't make dishonest, lazy, useless workers do work UNIONS/Millennial = bad. HR discipline or termination totally works. I always open with a reminder that cause analysis isn't about who fucked up.
Most of the time, they've rolled with blaming issues specific workers or groups of worker. The solutions will be to discipline those people and/or do "training." The they shade other similar products. Wash rinse repeat until the price is steep enough. They don't leave their habits at the gate.
