I'm convinced the lack of an algorithm is a reason pundits don't care for BS. Their entire career they've been spoon fed topics: editors, PR Newswire, The sales department (if you are cynical [I am]), the twitter/facebook/tiktok algorithm. Confronted with having to curate their own list, they fail.

I'm out of ISBN numbers. Time to pay tribute $$$ to the Bowker shakedown of US publishing. Hmm - $295 for 10. That'll last 6 years. - $595 for 100 so I never, ever have to fork out these ridiculous prices again. (Peers longingly north at Canada: free ISBNs + health care + a non-fascist government🍁)

By the end of the term, a district with a sea port held a landlocked one hostage by denying access. The southern districts discovered an animal that could do agricultural work and proceeded to enslave them. Don't remember the exact course of events, but this triggered a succession.
