Here's a fact for you all. Prior to 2017 there was not a single documented case of any individual travelling by small boats across the English Channel to caim asylum in the UK. Not ONE. This current 'boats' crisis has been largely caused by Brexit. But for some reason NOBODY is saying that.

Yes, there were small boat crossings before Brexit, but they were significantly less frequent. The numbers started to increase notably in 2018, particularly after the UK's departure from the EU. The UK is no longer bound by the Dublin Regulation and can no longer request to return asylum seekers.
