I know what it's like to be mocked and teased and cry myself to sleep by the light of a burning donkey. Totally normal human. No God people, no red yanks, no nuns, no nuns, none. Nowhere near the United States of WTF. DMs are off for a reason.

Oh that's harsh! Jumping straight into Latin is brutal. We at least did French and German before Latin. Not sure many schools still bother these days. Ancient Greek sadly came in as I left. Bastards 😂
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Well, I only use this and not often, but I don't see that the two are mutually exclusive.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
... it's "some bloke down the pub" but backed up by other morons. Critical thinking needs to make a comeback.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
We do, and possibly always have. Sadly they have an outlet now. Look at those Tate creatures, rallying the incels to their pathetic, rapey, cause. I do think social media had a big hand in it though. A quick meme or soundbite, or tiktok video is easier than actually educating yourself...
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Fascism?
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Or worse, they did.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Probably because you notice, and appreciate, the women in your life. To rethuglicans they're chattle.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
We have free contraception and vasectomies. It's awesome. Husband only waited a month.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
They're trying. There was a piece about them having toxic chemicals (can't remember where, sorry!). Luckily it was debunked, but its out there now for the loonies to rally around.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
I will never understand it. Maybe it's the human need to explain the bad things in the world as simply as possible? It was the gods, now is it brown people? A single scapegoat. Wish people would wake up and realise we're all humans, and we're all valid... bar the Maga nazis of course!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
I miss the days of scientific innovation where they could mess around and find awesome stuff (a lot were mistakes, like penicillin). Now, unless it'll make money or the outcome is certain, they don't bother. Imagine what we could discover if research weren't for profit.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
I remember watching some Polish plasterers opposite our old house in Kent... my god they didn't stop, did an incredible job, and were unfailingly neat and polite. Try getting a British workman to turn up! (Not always true, but... kind of true). Fruit picking is damn hard work!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Yup! It's definitely missing a few things, but I've not needed to go back to Chrome at least. Plus they stopped allowing plugins so when I used it for work, I couldn't fo half of what I needed (video recording and bugherd were the big ones).
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Thank you!! ❤️
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Ah. The old Focus estates were Tardises (Tardii?). I don't need much, just a few bags of feed, but I would like some space. My old 530 estate was epic - 9 food Christmas tree with no issues. I miss it in some ways!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Exactly! Or the billionaires... but definitely brown people are the issue 🙄
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Wow! Worse than I even thought.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Weirdly, we didn't! Juvenal, Iliad, Odyssey and the Aeneid were the top ones, and actually really good. Also dashes of Marcus Aurelius, Aristophanes (love him!), and, of course, Seneca. It was a pretty rounded classical education, if a little too Roman for my Greek sensibilities 😉
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
I love Wikipedia. Brave is great, still some AI on there but you can turn it off. It's useful as it tends to default to Wikipedia, rather than the top results. It misses a few things, but still miles better than Chrome. DuckDuckGo is great with privacy too.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
And we're lucky to manage that! We lost a lot of nurses and care home staff who still need replacing.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Aside from the flaming death trap, banned in all other countries? Gotcha.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
"Free shit" you mean basic human rights EVERY OTHER civilised country has but America? No wonder your country is so fucked up.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Lying prick. Now he says he's going to auction the hat for charity. Give it back to the kid AND make a generous donation. You got caught, make amends, or fuck off.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Just fuck off you prick
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Sad little troll.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
If you can find a copy, I highly recommend a book called The Paladin by Brian Garfield. It was hard to find last I looked, but a great read.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Trying to reach people on social media. Come on, this shouldn't be hard to grasp 🙄
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
I live in a civilised country, but I remember our Latin teacher telling us not to read book 6 of Juvenal. Every single person in that year bought a copy. Bonus, it was a Penguin classic and only cost £1. The man was a genius at teenage psychology.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social)
Giving up all your ECHR rights to get rid of brown people... sounds like a Refuck voter to me.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Been using Brave for nearly a year now. Fuck Google.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
The Christmas shite has started too. Ugh.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
It's amazing the difference! We've done with airsoft guns, and the Brits were all over it, the French couldn't care less 😂
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
The EV6 is lovely actually. My husband was looking at one for when his 330 dies. Probably be a good dog car, but I need to check if the boot is aesthetic, or useful! Like those awful Evoque things you can't even get a bale of hay in. No thanks!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Thank you! And yes, he has 🤣
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
It was never a thing here until it got imported from the States. Then I learned to hate it. Luckily we don't get visitors here which is a relief.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Same! I loved Christmas as a kid, but everything was shut and it was all about family and long walks. We always had a picnic too, rather than the stupid roast dinner thing. I just hate how it starts in September and doesn't seem to ever end. They may as well put signs up saying "consume".
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
I helped mum do a load of Halloween food when she volunteered at the local railway, it was good fun. I loved the apple pie (with food dye to make it snot green), with little icing spiders coming out of "cracks" we made. The kids loved it.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Of course they are. Erase it so people can't see it coming. Same in the UK too, to a degree. We need to teach everyone about the dark sides of every country's history so we can measure how much we've changed... or not.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Maybe. Not a party person myself though, I'd rather be at home.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
🤣 You're not wrong!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Ooh that sounds delicious! I'm convinced food is the great leveller, and who doesn't love sharing recipes that remind us of home or family?!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
I hate the commercialisation of it, cheap plastic decorations, more pushing to buy stuff nobody needs and is a waste of resources and cash. I also hate that time of year, reminds me of school and cold, wet, days with no sun.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
That I could get behind. It's the plasticky, tacky shite I can't stand. Plus strangers. Eww.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
It's the plasticity, gimmicky, strange people at your doorstep, American shite I can't stand. Tacky decor in Sainsbury's, etc. Just... eww.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Too many guns... oh sorry, you're talking about vaccines.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social)
How about no? How about making this a teachable moment in America's history and making damn sure everyone knows what happened well enough not to let fascism in. Again. Whitewashing and ignoring history is what they would do, so do better.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
And that's how history is whitewashed and repeated. Admit this one at least, America, or your shameful past will remain your future. Teach this to every, single, child as a warning.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
So that's why we have this Halloween shit. I hate it more than I can say. At least we're rural so don't have to deal with it directly. Only became a thing here recently and it can fuck off back where it came from 🤣
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
We adopted our boy 2 weeks ago. I was cuddling him to reassure him in the car, and at some lights on the way home a lady all but leaned out of her camper, grinning and waving. It made our day! I'll remember her for a long time.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
In fairness, Covid ushered in a new era of selfishness. It was around anyway, and isolation and an "I'm ok, Jack" attitude amplified it, here in the UK anyway. People got rude, litter started appearing everywhere, and folks seemed to forget the little social niceties that make the world tolerable.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Haha, I remember it well! We're on a farm and it was still an effort to get an FAC... As it should be. I'm all for it, annoying though it can be.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
There are. Waiting for something nice though as I'm a car person. Will be getting solar soon, so it makes sense. I just refuse to buy an SUV 🤢
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
I just can't watch. Every time the orange thing is on the news (I don't watch it, dad does), I have to walk away before I throw cooking implements at the TV. I can only handle so much dumb.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Oh it was so lovely to see! You're right, I was shocked at some of the reactions, shocked and saddened.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes, but you have to be inspected, have a mental health assessment/check you're OK to own one, have land or a club to shoot, and proper gun cabinets etc. There are rules and procedures in place here. You can't walk into Walmart and buy a death machine. Even airsoft is restricted.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
They'll ignore it like they did segregation and healthcare.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Oooft no, the last thing the current US government wants is educated children, or there'd be no maga.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Go fuck yourself. You're not even a good troll, just a god damn idiot.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Blindly supporting either is also batshit insane.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
The sad thing is, most people are positively impacted by multiculturalism. I remember my first fresh made chapati by a friend's mum... we sent back a selection of Greek biscuits, and the great recipe exchange began. I feel sad that people would rather find a reason to hate than embrace it.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Absolutely spot on. He's such a good tonic to the "boys don't cry" idiots too. Does my heart glad to know men, and fathers, like this are out there, quietly doing their best.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
It's a Maga thing. Brainless, spineless, obsessed with genitalia. You know, a cunt.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Also very much the guns.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
He seems like a genuinely good and kind man. Wish there were more like him, on both sides of the pond.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Only a Tyrant they disagree with...
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
And you ADMIT to supporting a felon, rapist, paedophile? Shame on you. Shame.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
They are... just not in America. Europe actually has safety standards, plus they're obnoxiously massive.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Ask America. Seems rife over there. You'd think we'd learn from their stupidity!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Agreed. Bloody things are MASSIVE, plus the extra tyre wear and bits of rubber. When they can do a sensibly sized EV, I'd consider it.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Well amnesties are a good start, or simply regulating them. There's no quick answer, but the US has a serious problem!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Oh no! Never mind, hopefully they'll see sense soon, and the other, much better, EV companies will arrive.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes! Happy to give a take away order to a machine, and let them do dangerous or boring jobs, but leave the art to the humans.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Keep drinking the coolaid. Cunt.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Now that's honest! We just had people try and mug us at the train station, usually unsuccessfully 🤣 Had the odd fight, but the school was very strict... sadly. Some of them could have done with it, TBH!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Ah yes, the robotaxi that will plough through schoolchildren faster than an active shooter. (Sorry).
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Hard disagree. Has America not learned that destroying history means repeating it? Teach this time, tell kids about the dangers of cult worship and fascism. Use this as a teachable moment and try and grow as a country.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Military yes, if we must continue to kill each other. Civilians - absolutely no need, unless as you say, they're a shit shot and a terrible human!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Well I'm in the UK where we can have properly regulated guns, with a licence and a mental health assessment. We also don't have school shootings on a daily basis. Nobody needs an AR15.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
That makes absolutely no sense, but then you're clearly a cunt, so I'm hardly surprised. Fuck. Off. You. Idiot.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
We had 1. We banned guns. It's not that hard!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
You are, but we're the ones who suffer for it.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Haha! Then they should stop making shit cars 🤷♀️🤣
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Nope, they're banned, whoop! Wish they'd ban all of the ugly things to be honest.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
For Americans, all of it. Now tell them its not a country and watch their heads explode while they try and relate everything to the size of Tex-arse.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Because you're fascist nightmares that nobody has ever liked? Because we don't like right wing Nazis? Maybe because you're unlikeable bullies? Just a few to be getting on with.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
All the more reason to boycott the cunts.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
It's a Trumpet fan... do not expect sense!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
I'd rather take the bus than a free Swastikkkar.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Only 40%? I'll keep giving them all the middle finger then. Cunts in Wankpanzers. We don't need those round here.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
It's worked in every other country, but education and actual, proper, screening would be a good place to start.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
It is thankfully! And lots more today. Phew.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Same. It can be useful as a sounding board, or collating meeting notes etc., but I'd rather art be created by feeling humans, and that they get paid appropriately. As if it isn't hard enough to make a living in those fields!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Agreed. Bloody things weigh a ton, and those stupid SUV things nobody in a city needs. Bleh!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Our government... damn lack of an edit button!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Ah, thanks. Wasn't sure how it worked over there. Out government keeps giving tax incentives for diesels, now EVs, but then they go through the roof 🙄
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Oh wow!! I did not know that. You are a fount of knowledge, I love it!! I forget it was broken down into so many independent areas, all fascinating. It would be nice to visit and NOT tour the circuits though 🤣 It's such varied and beautiful terrain, and obviously I'm a big fan of the German people!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Same! Old, dyslexic and ADHD 🤣 That's probably why it stood out to my daft brain. Hope you can come and visit this beautiful place soon.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
You can turn it off on mine too. Not sure if that's an option on a Rav 4, but might be worth a look if it annoys him.
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes, I live here, but an odd one to use!
Nadja Cravensworth (@nadjacravensworth.bsky.social) reply parent
Oh wow! That's amazing. I'm all for that too. The meat and cheese at Aldi... expectedly superb, but maybe DM will make it here eventually 🤞
