I asked a few doctors about that when our kids were on the way. Apparently enough of us had read/heard of it that they were each prepared for the question and told me that it was, indeed, a single study that no one had yet replicated.

His premise is that the GOP increasingly relies on low-propensity voters-- who'll be more dissuaded by hurdles to voting-- so . . . fair enough. But you KNOW hurdles'll be selectively applied like when OH allowed early voting for mil and senior citizens or TX allowed CCW as ID but not college IDs.

Annualized inflation during the same period was 3.9%. Seems obvious housing costs can't outstrip inflation by that much for that long (assuming her neighborhood is representative) w/o causing problems-- cost of housing will take up a larger and larger portion of income. Plus, she got to live there.

I think Thanksgiving and (most of) the lead up to Christmas being at the end of fall helps people overlook just how gloomy that time of year can be. February might be cold, but at least by then the end is in sight and the days are a decent length (and getting longer).

I do wish that if it's going to make replies from accounts the reply-ee have blocked invisible, it just not indicate that there are replies to the post in question. It's admittedly my own quirk, but I'd rather not know there are comments there than know but not be able to read.

I can't stand even seeing someone shoot up in a TV show or movie (though I also dislike having blood drawn out of me).

Removed rather than deleted. And, in fairness to the poster, s/he's been engaging people on the topic but probably didn't feel like doing so with the large # of people who'd see Bouie's post (on top of the large number of followers of the account s/he originally replied to).
