I needed that laugh. Thank you.
I needed that laugh. Thank you.
Bravo
You go mama! 👏🏻👏🏻
lesson learned
Mama duck is just protecting her own. This is what happens when parents don't teach their kids to have compassion for others, whether it's animals or people. Hopefully, lesson learned.
The risk is the parents will tell her to be afraid of ducks/geese, and her cruelty will continue in all relationships.
If the parents handle it correctly, they will tell her "What if someone did this to you? You wouldn't like it, would you?" But, then again, when right-wingers are being told to become monsters and that empathy is a "sin," who the fuck knows....
The better approach is to engage the curiosity and biophilia in the child. Asking kids to display empathy through questioning doesn’t always work, creating a culture of connection to the animal works best. Signed your local nature educator!
I agree with you, there are many ways to approach. My main point was to help the child understand that inflicting harm on someone/something is not without consequences. As opposed to the right-wing approach which is "best your adversary, *especially* if they are vulnerable"
It would a better approach to be an accountable parent and not put accountability on someone who hasn’t learned yet. But I guess parent how you want just don’t be surprised when the consequences are people dislike or hate your guts.
Teaching your kids nature connection is being accountable as a parent.
These kinds of comments make me begin to have some understanding of why MAGA thinks the way they do. Stop being ridiculous!
Kids are curious-you tell them "no, no, HOT!" & they'll touch it anyway. As someone who has frequently handled birds for years, I can assure you that a nip from a duck isn't nearly as painful as "hot." I have guinea who bite me and then look crestfallen from my lack of response.
Now, a GOOSE- I wldnt want to be bit by, nor a swan.
They hiss, but haven't been bitten, yet. If one did bite me while I jog I'd probably kick it. I'm confident that I would win the fight with the goose or swan.
Heh, I've seen a mockingbird dive bomb a grown man for daring to have his vehicle too close to her nest. She dove, he ducked, banged his mouth on the vehicle and lost a tooth. He parked further away after that.🤣
That'd be fun to watch. "The Birds" may come true, yet.
Geese hurt! They twist while they bite!
INDEED! My nephew used to get chased up the hill from the bus stop every day by their neighbor's "pet" goose. He learned to run fast at a young age.
Self-imposed consequences are the best kind.
We call them logical and natural consequences, which can be positive or in this case negative.
He F’ed around and found out!
😆
The bird should have shit on her head
The Kid stepped on one of them. Grrrrr
I saw some grown men throw snowballs at some nesting ducks. I honked my horn at them and shook my finger. THEN I called the MN DNR and reported the business they worked at; it’s illegal to disturb nesting ducks. They got lectured and hopefully fined. Do not mess with animal lovers either.
Brat. Hope she learned her lesson, but those types often don’t.
Too funny. I hope that brat learned a lesson. Don’t F**k with animals. Especially moms
Don’t ever mess with mama….
Love it.
Good for that momma! 😡
Sometimes natural consequences are the best remedy 😂
I shouldn't, but I felt a strange sense of satisfaction after watching that. Now, if only something like that would happen to that hypocrite, Trump ....
Good question. Love it! Natural consequences in action!
I told some kids to stop chasing birds on the beach last year, the mother got mad at ME! I said we are in their home and shouldn’t harass them. She was pissed. Nasty beach.
Good for you! That mother was a bitch.
...and don't feed them, for crying out loud!!!
Good, maybe the little brat learned a lesson.
Well done 😄
Bet she won’t do that again!
Justice served 👍🏻
Good! Teach that brat
Don't want the kid to get hurt, but she just learned a valuable lesson!!!! And, momma did the right thing protecting her babes
Horrible kid, ducks have soft beaks so unfortunately not as much as a lesson it would’ve been if a goose (watching on phone so if it is a goose…hahaha good!!)
If anything it scared the 💩 out of her that she will always remember
😂😂😂😂
What a little fucking asshole! Probably grows up to be a compassionateless republican 🤢🤢🤕🤮🤮🤮
Why, that kid has learned it’s lesson: don’t mess with nature. But speaking of learning, accepting lessons and GOPlings…
Karma!
Yes it is!
Yes, my question exactly and she got what she deserved good for mama
"What goes around, comes around" life lesson taught by mama duck.
FAFO as a proud Canadian, you find out super fast not to mess with water foul. Especially Canadian geese, they take zero guff from anyone.
This video makes my ❤️ happy!! GO DUCK!!! I hope the duck isn't traumatized 😂🦆
Play stupid games…
Quick reminders: 1) Karma's a bitch, & 2) Birds technically *are* dinosaurs & will go Jurassic Park on you if provoked.
That made me laugh! Thank you!
Yea, but like what are their damage dealing moves? They are a bunch of light weights with their hollow bones. They can't do a wing attack without rising breaking themselves, the waterfowl can't peck with that beak in any hurtful way, tiny teeth can barely break skin if lucky, and claws are puny
All they got is the intimidation. Fite me you horse sized goose
Yes, but even those hollow bones can do a good bit of damage when they're wrapped in muscle. Swans can break an adult's arm & ostriches, cassowaries, & emus can kill with a single kick. A goose or even a duck could probably stll do a bit of damage to a little girl.
A swan...
Ask the Oxford rowing team. The only time they cancel practice is when there are swans on the river.
Or i could ask the professionals in the internet outdoorswimmer.com/coach/myth-b... Myth busted. I can't find anything more than hearsay to prove the contrary. I will be fighting the horse sized swan. Thank you
Yea i respect those Australian monsters, but i doubt a waterfowl like a dean can really cause damage. Lke being hit with a twig by a pro wrestler, sure it might sting, just grab it and Crack it
That reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw once: don’t mess with birds. You’ll get JurassKICKED.
Cute! Though my paleontology professor would never forgive me if I didn't point out that it should be Cretackicked.
Brilliant. You two made my day.
I like that too!
She’s practicing to join ICE
Karma is a duck
Well she needs to get her ducking butt to DC!!!
I hope it bit her
What a mean-spirited thing to do - she needs scolded.
IMHO, Mother Goose had a hand in that.
Good
Haha
And mama bird gets the last laugh!
Logical consequence
Brat!
That felt to watch that, thanks for sharing
When justice is swiftly administered lol
I think those parents were right to let that kid receive the consequences of chasing after a mother duck’s babies! This is how we learn through error!
Or take accountability as a parent and tell them to not do such things and maybe say what happens first if it was always fafo for you then life and death consequences would happen. Be a parent instead & teach as a parent if the message isn’t received then fafo. There needs to be parentAccountabilty
I think it’s pretty obvious that it wasn’t a life-threatening incident. It teaches a basic tenant of immediate consequences for behavior. I can always be used as an example in the future. Do you remember when you chased after those birds?
Or don’t listen to me and experience the fafo of your own actions. It’s pretty simple parent if you’re intending to be a parent otherwise don’t be a fucking parent!
The other thing was i didn’t need a parent telling me to stay tf away to know that but I was definitely raised to respect wild life more than that. Something that most parents should do. If you can’t show a form of respect and apathy to beings in the world than don’t bring more of you in this world
Everyone is affected by their childhood in someway positive or negative from both family & friends at school then work. We are the sum of our experiences..
…then enjoy your conversation of agenda in the air.
Experience is made more than through self as I’m stating but you continue to make it your case of blame the kid over the bad master or teacher 😐news flash the accountability always lays on the master, teacher, and parents as they are also a major factor in the experience. If you can’t get that…
Nope because I was always terrified of them
FAFO core memory style. Bwahahahha
Clearly not learning to respect animals.
Why do we have to film shit like this and then put it out on the internet? I mean, the kid deserved the lesson (hopefully learned), but doesn't deserve to have their personal growth put out there for the world to comment on. They're not 35; they look 6 or 7 (maybe younger). Too young for this.
Had the kid been identified, I might agree with you. Since they're neither recognizable nor identifiable in this clip, I don't see much of a concern.
Plus non consensual filming is a sueable offense and I hope that kid never forgets they were filmed without consent so the filmer gets a taste of fafo too!
Kids this age aren't naturally malicious if they've been taught right. Shame them all.
Enabling is America's biggest problem at the moment. Don't go there.
Hahahahahahahahahaha!!
Great question...Too bad that duck wasn't an eagle...
I love it! Go get her Momma Duck!
serves the little brat right
that's a touch the stove moment for that kid. hopefully she won't do that again
don't fuck with mother nature
NEVER, EVER,.. fuck with Mother Goose. But at least it had a Fairy Tale ending.
Yes! She defended her babies!!
Stinkin’ brat!
Perfect !!
HAAAhahahaha! Great life lesson for ya there, girlie....don't be like trump.
Yes!
Just goes to show why you shouldn’t fuck around with Mother Nature! She will strike back!
She's experiencing the FAFO EFFECT!!
I, inadvertently, upset a mother duck once. They are NOT ones to be messed with. They will go right for your face.
I once approached a duck family to get some photos-- no malicious intent on my part, but mama duck was pretty pissed off and charged at me. Totally my fault.
The duck proving she's a better parent than that kid's parents.
Lesson learned. 🤣
GOOD!!!!
Karma is a beautiful thing!!
WTH!!! Mean as hell. Future red cap.
Hopefully, this was the day that changed her course to that fate. Lol
Life lessons.
Future Republican
I hope the girl never does it again
#FAFO
Put the phone down and help her.
No no, good lesson. Some blood? Fine!
Put the phone down and tell her that bullying is stupid.
Help her? Mmm yeah no. Put the phone down and teach your brat not to be a little asshole.
Either way that film recorder needs a dose of fafo too hopefully that kid grows up and sues the non consensual film recorder
That was a good lesson.
So glad that mama took care of things. There’s a lesson that kid won’t soon forget!
Ha ha, well deserved.
m.youtube.com/shorts/p1oKB...
🦆 hahaha last time she will chase a momma and her babies!
TEAM DUCK!
Perfect
Maybe that was better than what the parents could do.
I love that.........................
FAFO
The goose was right! Bratty kid!
Got what they deserved
Karma!!! She'll be fine. The Mama is just teaching her the lessons her parents should have.
Don't chase ducks...?
The ducks are one thing, but chasing a duck with her ducklings is cruel imo
It's a kid playing, and "don't chase ducks" isn't a life lesson parents will line up. This is just a girl being happy for ducks and not knowing the ducks will react in a hostile manner. Neither girl nor parents are cruel here.
As a parent, I disagree.
Nah take some parental accountability fascist!
Jesus Christ.
You think Jesus takes accountability for your fascist take?
I'm saying it is hasty to call a small girl "cruel" for chasing ducks on the beach.
Eventually you can learn to use a blind, decoy, & shotgun & kill the duck & enjoy eating it.
Geese. Geese are mean.
Maybe one of the parents is recording?
Mama goose took care of her…
Who’s that knocking at the door? Yup, it sounds like the consequences of your own actions.
You don’t mess with a momma’s babies.
I blame the parents. That kid learned that behavior from somewhere.
Oh yeah!... This is what this "Stupid" child deserves!... The parents need to get their act together!... This child is being groomed to be cruel and heartless!
That’ll teach her! 🤞🏼
I hope that question is being asked not because she was attacked and supposedly in danger but because they obviously raised her wrong if she thinks it's ok to torment animals and cause them to panic for their babies. Fuck that kid's parents.
But she'll learn the lesson from experiencing the consequence, better than just being told. Hopefully, the parents will expand on the lesson for other birds and animals, not just geese.
I don't know if she was panicking. Looks more like pissed as hell to me!
Raised her wrong? She’s in the early stages of being raised. This will be a learning moment. Y’all think kids are born behaving?
Having empathy is something you model to them, not "teach". Has nothing to do with "behaving". Definitely raised without empathy
Can’t say I agree with that. Again. Not yet raised.
This!
I was all annoyed there for a second, then I was delighted !
me too
FAFO!
Well this young lady just learned a valuable lesson.
So one hopes.
And insert boss health bar here... 💯🤷🏾♀️🦆
maternal defensive instinct
Don't mess with me and my children 😳
Not only would she get it from the duck, she’d get a whacking from me too!!!! We respect animals, not tease them!!!
Lmao
FAFO kid, really bad parenting. Respect wildlife 🤬
Lesson learned
Mom 🦆 decided to defend her kids at all costs. Someone learned a lesson. A lesson to us: there comes a time to fight back! 🕯️❤️💕
Bet she won't do that again
Good
FAFO
Maybe they’re behind the camera…
Actually, a very good life lesson. Don't fuck with nature.
Revenge of the duck.
That’ll teach the little bitch.
She just learned a valuable lesson.
Hahaha! One good parent and it's not our species.
Perhaps the parent is the one recording?
Future Karen is fortunate that wasn't a Canadian goose. According to Dear Leader they can be really nasty.
Don't mess with a Canada goose. Or a swan.
Yay
Parents ought to note that animal cruelty is predictive of criminality. Teach children to be kind to animals or your kid will be an animal-hating Donald Trump like buffoon.
Some kids chase birds, the intention isn’t always cruelty, sometimes it’s play.
Then their parents should teach them to make better choices. It really isn’t funny & who will the parents sue when their little angel gets hurt or worse? #teamanimals
Engaging with kids and the natural world is a better choice. It literally changes their thinking before they get to harassing ducks
Whatever.
Nope. Not like that.
Fun for the kid but not for the bird. The birds are not playing they are running in terror. The babies are too young to fly. If the child is too young to know that it’s wrong then the parent shld be close enough to stop the kid & explain why it’s wrong.
The kid knows it’s wrong now. That will forever be imprinted on them to respect nature and animals in a much deeper way because the parents DIDNT say honey, it’s important to treat animals like they have feelings. That kid knows that ducks have feelings and that the momma wasn’t messing around.
Terrorizing a mother and her young is not "play", and the little brat got what she deserved. Parents need to teach their children to respect animals. Period.
Hopefully the kid learned a lesson that his parents neglected to teach!!
Don’t mess with a mother duck, you motherfucker.
What a brat. She earned all that.
She went easy on the little shit.
Doing a great job letter her learn a great lesson on bullying!
What a little asshole
Took the words right out of my mouth! 😂
I once watched a male swan attack a mallard hen with a dozen or so ducklings because it got close to the swan's nest. Once she got over the shock, that hen turned things around and kicked that swan's ass. At one point it was hovering, pecking at the swan's head. Swan's are assholes...like this kid!
Mama duck said, oh hell nah.
Justice served.
Go get 'em, Momma!
“You mess with me and my babies, I’m gonna 🤬 you up.”
There’s a republican in the making.
Karma 1, kid zero. 🤣🤣🤣
🤣
I love ducks!
I saw a swan kick the hell out of a grown man who was harassing it at one of the theme parks. Made my heart sing.
That was a lesson called "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes."
She won't be harassing mommy ducks again anytime soon
The parents are the ones recording for posture. This is called a life lesson learned.
Looks like “the parents “ are filming it. Failure.
"I ain't human, but I will defend my ducklings."
I am sorry but that made me laugh 🫣
Did she actually step on one of the babies? Oh my. Momma duck wasn't f'n around. I wish people would teach their children respect for nature. I'm glad to see the smack down of a human child by a mother duck. Lesson learned, I hope.
It looked like an accident to me. She stops and looks like she is going back to check and then gets attacked, rightfully so, by the bird. Some kids have to learn by doing 🤷♀️
The kids that don't learn the lesson early end up as the adult getting attacked by a moose when they stupidly try to get a selfie with it at Yellowstone.
That was my thought! Or a bear or a bison.
an accident that she ran at the adult & baby birds? Nah, that was purposeful and deserves a meatier Find Out
That absolutely was purposeful! I think it was an accident that she stepped on one. Hopefully that kid learned a valuable lesson!
Bloody parents..!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Yes Mama Duck! Mess with my family ,that'll teach you! Duck after my own heart...Fierce unconditional love🩵🐧🩵
Haha hahaha ! You chase. And you get chased!
Well done Duck!!!!!
That’s the most awesome thing I’ve ever seen
Little brat got what she deserved!
Karma! Serves that kid right!
She got what she deserved! Mama duck took care of that mean child.
Lessons from nature are the best lessons.
Oh yeah baby.... Karma came and gave you some...
She deserved it. Don't mess with Mama's babies.
That little girl will grow up to be a republican.
If not, we have the duck to thank
Hopefully, other than being a little shocked, she's ok but she learned a lesson. Experience really can be the best teacher.
I hope she has little mamma duck teeth marks an her ass. That is how life lessons are learned.
Don’t get mad at the animal parents. They’re protecting their own children. I wish cows & sheep were able to do the same. MG, the pain of separation they put them through. 💧😔
Also…birds are the descendents of therapods. They take no 💩 🦖
Good, the little MAGAT deserved it.
👍
FAFO working as intended. Hopefully a lesson learned. Kids are assholes, we have to learn to be nice.
🤣🤣🤣yes they are and there’s no remedy.
At the end of the day, this is probably misguided curiosity with, "I want to grab/hold/play" attitude, with no self awareness (that doesn't fully develop until mid 20's, which is why tweenagers are such idiots). It's a good lesson to learn, delivered in a firm way, and the parents let this kid down
Mama duck taught this kid a valuable lesson in FAFO.
Being a parent is trying to put yourself in the mind of a little unregulated, emotion driven, need/want machine and anticipate they're not going to... And then try to ensure that 1) they don't do it, 2) they learn why not to do it and when 3) they do it, the lesson sticks and they don't do it again.
Good to see that you are a good parent! Bravo 👏🏼👏🏼💙🌷
Being ̶a̶ ̶p̶a̶r̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶ an American voter...
Great description.
Parenting is a remedy but adults don’t want to take accountability for what they bring into the world with especially poignant supremacistic white males
sadly the parents are probably the ones sitting on their ass watching and filming their little terrorists instead of stopping them.
W duck
A lot of white people in here who think they know how Karma works
Parents need to teach their kids not to mess with animals or the animals will teach your kids. Dad and mom failed
It's good to learn consequences early 😂
That is the most perfect ending to a short story i'll ever see.
Turn about is fair play as they say.
Obviously, they're just sitting there filming the whole thing 🙄
When a duck is a better parent than you are
To the ducks and the children both!
👍💚
🤣
Karma 😂
At least a mother taught her some sort of lesson.
ApPARENTly, they're holding the camera.
Ah hahahahahah!!!
Who do you think is recording it? 😀
Good on you momma duck. Teach young hooman some manners
What a brat, wish the bird snatched her hair
Very well deserved!
Got what he deserved.
Got what he deserved!
youtube.com/shorts/f5VUd...
It’s frustrating how quickly people jump to criticize the parents or label the kid as “an asshole.” Not every moment like this is a sign of bad parenting. Sometimes kids, even when they've been told not to do something, need to experience the consequences firsthand in order to really learn.
Regardless, Team Bird
Bird ftw
They need to learn to be kind to animals and to not mess with mom.
Hopefully this was a learning lesson for her.
youtube.com/shorts/f5VUd...
Also the intention can be more playful than mean
What the attention was does not matter to the animal.
EXACTLY! My brother, 54 now, had to learn this lesson as well. And trust me, he was told over and over again to leave the geese alone. He did not, they pecked his little ass, and he's been very respectful of them ever since. He was 8 then, he's 54 now. lol
But it’s usually the animal paying the price. Living beings aren’t some sort of lesson object.
TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR BEING A DAMN PARENT MORON FFS!🤦🏻♀️
Every generation must learn for themselves that the stove is hot.
Exactly. You can be told the stove is hot, but can you really believe it's hot unless you feel the heat yourself? 🤔
Reminds me of the time I was looking after a friends’ kid. Took him for a curry. Poppadom and dips time, I said “you shouldn’t have that one, its very hot”. After a few minutes of “hhoooo!” said the wisest thing I’ve heard from that age “that’s why I like you, you warned me but let me do it anyway”
… hardly a hot stove, given it was someone else’s kid, but I was willing to let him FAFO with the hot sauce…
Yes! I have a vivid memory of this from my childhood, reaching to touch the coil burner. I knew my parents said to not touch because it was hot, but I had no idea that level of hot even existed!
But not at another living being’s expense!
No, of course not. The saying or proverb about the hot stove has been around much longer than I have. It only means that we learn from personal experience more effectively than we do from advice or an explanation from others.
It most definitely IS!!! STOP making excuses for bad behavior!!
Exactly! This kid is young and still learning and may not have been meaning to upset the birds. Parents can't pre-teach every scenario and this whole incident happened in a few seconds, not even enough time for a parent to intervene.
That brat isn’t being taught empathy and kindness period.
Little shite deserved it
Karma is a bitch
