You’re going to feel really silly about standing by Marinakis when the truth comes out. We know what he is. But because he’s invested millions you’re willing to turn a blind eye. You genuinely think he had nothing to do with what happened on Noor One?

There is no truth to 'come out per se'. It is in plain sight what he is. All of Greece knows it, one among many. Still, he has a criminal trials for match fixing & sports violence coming up to prove his innocence. Weirdly NFFC fans are completely unaware of these 2 Athens trials.

You’re scrambling about this entirely because of shit rules, and your club ownership not facilitating them. You mention allegations with no evidence, other is an obvious partially understandable fuck up by a football club that you’ve swallowed hook line etc You window licking hypocrite

If Parish hadn't screwed up the club he is tasked with running what Forest may or may not have done wouldnt be relevant. I look forward to the #CPFC tifo admonishing Parish for his incompetence and asking him to accept some responsibility.

No idea mate UEFA are like an Himitsu Bako. My point is mainly the constant deflection that somehow #NFFC are pulling the strings of world football. Considering our own abilities to fall foul of them I'm not entirely sure Mr Parish wouldn't benefit from some internal reflection.

I get it. Thing is, Parish couldn’t have done anything. The shares in question were controlled by Textor who could have taken action. Parish did all he could - limited textor’s voting rights, signed agreements saying he can’t make decisions etc. Hence Textor part of banner and song

You honestly think that triggered it? Because it came out in the press you might be booted before that. Plus the uncertainty for #nffc in the transfer window was not great and most probably has added to tensions between Nuno and Edu.

Are they still peddling that garbage? Palace's own fans were talking about the issue on May 21st. If their fans were you can bet UEFA were too. I've never known such a stupid, blind, deluded fanbase dumbly swallowing everything the slimy gimp Parish feeds them.

Forest were unambiguously directly impacted, our whole pre-season and transfers prefixed by it. Of course we got in touch with UEFA seeking clarity. If you think that altered the outcome (even if we worded it in the manner of the most fevered Palace fan imagination), I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

Palace have just cause to be upset by UEFA (the rules are a farce) and Textor. The ire at Forest is nonsense, at best naive and at worst just succumbing to rage bait. A world where people just want a means to be (ever more) angry, however tenuous.

#cpfc got e-mails from both EPL and UEFA warning them of the changes to the rules. It was also widely reported on in the press. At no point did they contact UEFA to ask how they viewed the #cpfc ownership structure in relation to the MCO rules. They should have done this but didn’t and is on them.

They didn't mind taking Textor's money in 2021 did they. You only know what you get told. Compared to previous owners of #NFFC Maranakis despite being bonkers has been good for Forest and the surrounding community Wilson's piece in the Guardian today www.theguardian.com/football/202...

I’ll read that in a bit. Textor invested in the club when he didn’t own any others. I don’t get what the issue there is? I’m sure Marinakis has been good on the pitch for you. Though that said, it doesn’t excuse what he does away from the pitch. Which a lot of forest fans seem to want to do

Parish hasn't screwed up the club. He saved it in 2010 from exinction. Very tricky and ludicrous blind trust rules, an over zealous interpretation of multiple owners, lack of foresight by Parish and cuntery by the Big Bubble all made the farago of this summer. Ours trials are over. NFFC not. Enjoy.

cjw0304.bsky.social @cjw0304.bsky.social

The assumption that putting things into a blind trust are "rules" and not a legal loophole to circumvent the said rules is often overlooked. If Forest are as massive as you sing, why didn't your owner put his Olympiakos shares in a blind trust past the deadline instead?

aug 25, 2025, 6:59 am • 1 0 • view
avatar
Mark Roberts @thatmarkroberts.bsky.social

Because Olympiacos remains the club he is most actively involved with, and in his home country. He ran them first, and they had already qualified for the CL. When Forest looked like they would too? He acted. Ultimately it became irrelevant because Forest choked in the final month of the season.

avatar
cjw0304.bsky.social @cjw0304.bsky.social

It was more of a rhetorical question but I agree with the points. He acted yes - past the deadline.

aug 25, 2025, 8:43 am • 0 0 • view
avatar
Mark Roberts @thatmarkroberts.bsky.social

But this is the key difference. UEFAs rules require it. While the deadline had passed, ahead of breaking them the owner and the club contacted UEFA and were in doing so were given a short extension allowing them to comply. This likely could also have happened with Palace. But 100% did not.

aug 25, 2025, 8:43 am • 1 0 • view
avatar
cjw0304.bsky.social @cjw0304.bsky.social

Blind trust is a loophole to circumvent the rules however - so there is little legally we could have done with the guilty party actively trying to sell said shares. Parish got the PR and legal narrative completely wrong which has made it easier for others in this situation.

aug 25, 2025, 8:45 am • 0 0 • view
avatar
Mark Roberts @thatmarkroberts.bsky.social

He did. And he still seems to be feeding this false narrative that both Palace have never been part of a multi club holdings company and that Forest are directly responsible for Palace getting caught. Neither are true. You can call it a loophole. But it is the legally viable option here.

aug 25, 2025, 8:49 am • 0 0 • view
avatar
Mark Roberts @thatmarkroberts.bsky.social

If we are to believe what has been reported UEFA contacted all EPL clubs explaining the rules change last season, and later contacted Palace individually to warn them that they faced breaking them. Palace either ignored that contact or chose not to respond. They took no action of any kind.

avatar
Robbosleftpeg @robbosleftpeg.bsky.social

Ill concede the rules are stupid- Spoiler alert football is riddled with them. PSR,VAR,FFP, Offside (Linesman flagging) etc The challenge is CPFC didn't do anything and continue to believe that this omission would have been fine if not for #NFFC intervention. Own it,move on, Parish

aug 25, 2025, 8:08 am • 2 0 • view
avatar
cjw0304.bsky.social @cjw0304.bsky.social

But you didn't comply with them either - my issue is the holier than thou approach when you're guilty on the same rule breaking, you're just lucky/unlucky you didn't qualify for the CL. Parish is to blame for many things in this - but there's no legal compliance we could have done to rectify.

Marinakis, a politician in Piraeus for the last decade, who “converted the city into a virtual feudal holding” gets cleared by the Piraeus Magistrate’s Council after a six-year investigation, and this news gets reported by Greek media outlets that he owns through his media empire.
