I regret to inform you that Starmer’s been tweeting dehumanising videos of migrants again. These videos have been shown to increase support for Reform, by increasing salience of migration. He has to go.

I agree with much of what you say, however, suggesting people should be “able to enter the country, when they wish” is not how migration should work. The UK should make it easier for people to apply to enter, but only grant entry, if those applying have the skills required by the UK.

Want to try fixing that again with the whole quote? Rather than the bits you made up? There are captions there and everything in case you missed it: "Create REGULATED routes for people to enter the country when they need to".

I am still in the EU. The problems of migration while the UK was both in and out of the EU is of the UK‘s making. The UK never understood the rules surrounding migration and never enforced the EU laws. As for Farage, I believe he’s an evil man much like Trump.

P.P.S. We don't deport everyone in the country without skills (anymore), so why should that be a barrier to entry? Do you believe the country so decrepit as to be incapable of imparting new skills?

You’re not differentiating between asylum seekers and economical migrants. Asylum seekers should be given every opportunity to apply for asylum in whichever country they wish to. Economic migrants should have the skills required by the country before being granted a visa to enter the country.

And in proportion? Or that the hoarders causing damage to society should be fined less than one percent whilst some others are fined more than their income and savings combined? I believe the law should be moral and fair before it is applied, otherwise it is a tool of oppression.

Hi Zoe, the channel crossings are perplexing on many levels and the gang activity to transport people in overcrowded boats is a disgrace, a criminal operation for profit. Surely, to condemn this activity and to support border security is the most appropriate response?

And murdering refugees using the Channel is perfectly normal on Normal Island.

It plays to the mob, baying for public execution, as they used to do at Tyburn or the Grassmarket. Morons, their bloodlust sated, vote for more, though some would prefer machine guns.

Reinforcing idea of other, lesser and boasting about it with a smug grin is vomit inducing. Nasty, spiteful, vicious and incompetent are not words I want to associate with our Governance. Cant we have sensible, intelligent, planned, pragmatic, human and compassionate for once?

Not only that but being here illegally is only a misdemeanor. Expired visa or green card is only a Civic violation not a criminal offense. The punishment does not fit the crime.

Has even one single person had their lives improved by this action? Apart from Farage of course. Starmer disgusts me in a way that even many Tory leaders never have. He is utterly amoral and a thoroughly nasty piece of work.

I sincerely regret voting Labour at the last election. Their support for Israel is nothing less than egregious. Their approach to immigration a total disgrace . At 77 they will never again have my support. All they do is pander to Reform bigots and racists.

He'll only go though if even Labour MPs find the guts to put in a letter of no confidence. I can't see that happening.
