To much of the population thats all ‘the left’ seem to care about. Many voters drifting to Reform do not hate trans or boat people. But they do hate how these issues occupy the minds of financially better off ‘lefties’. They’re drawn to reform’s claim to better represent their economic interests.

I wonder how many live in countries where getting a passport AND a tourist visa is impossible. And risk of death in meantimes means they have to get out quickly.

When they get here, and their requests are processed, most are granted. A couple of years ago it was 94% legitimate. I think last year was 78%. All our government have to do to stop the boats is open an asylum application office in Calais. They don't want to- the 'crisis' is more useful.

I sincerely regret voting Labour at the last election. Their support for Israel is nothing less than egregious. Their approach to immigration a total disgrace . At 77 they will never again have my support. All they do is pander to Reform bigots and racists.
