You're welcome to your opinion. Mine is this: Newsom's methods aren't perfect, but he's out there, every day, actively fighting. I respect that and am not going to waste my time criticizing those who are trying to oust MAGA, simply because their priorities don't align with mine 100% of the time.

I'm one of those extremely privileged people whose rights aren't under attack. I guess my answer is safety. I'm very publicly anti-Trump, so if the retribution machine kicks into high gear, I'll be on that enemies list (but granted, it's a very long list and it will take a while to get to me).

I will vote for whoever can win against MAGA. Full stop. If others understood that is Job #1 and had voted for Harris, we wouldn't be in this mess. There's widespread support for taxing billionaires and everything else can be fixed eventually...but only if we take control away from MAGA.

For me and this limited purpose, the win is Trump’s and his followers’ rage, and my pleasure at seeing them fecklessly try to deal with the trolling. Also, if it helps morale and the sense that folks can fight back, it helps resist just a little. It’s not a substitute for electoral wins.
