I asked for the latest COVID vaccine this week at my VA clinic and they didn't have any. They said they are "out" but maybe more is on the way. The don't have an ETA.

I just got last year’s version at Safeway. My sister (a doctor who is closely following what’s happening) advised us to go ahead and get a booster now even though it’s not the new one because it’s very possible only over 65 and pregnant women will be able to get the latest — if it comes out at all.

That’s always been the case. New Fall vaccines don’t address the summer wave of Covid. The 2024 vaccines were available and still are in many places. The real problem is the new fall vaccines are recommended for 65 and over.

Moderna is making it in Canada. Pfizer likely will. These are American companies. We could just be happy that this is a two country effort for Canadians, no? As far as I know there aren't Canadian companies that have developed a Covid vaccine but I certainly could be wrong. Happy to be corrected.

I would if they let me. I'm retired, Canada is only looking for working folk. I would be happy to buy a home or invest but they don't have programs for that. I have a grandbaby in Chicago so Canada is actually closer to them than Virginia. Canada.....if you are listening please let me in. 🙏

I read that some pharmacies in Canada will give Americans the vaccines but you have to call first to see if they have the extra dosages and will have to pay. I personally would rather get it later, so it lasts the whole winter and that goes for the flu shot as well. Thank you, Canada.

Yeah. I'll be 77 in October. I'm going on a cruise in November and I sure would like to get my booster. It's not even a vacation, it's a seminar on a cruise ship. Can I sue JFK if I'm dead? I've never had Covid and I sure don't want it now.

They get both vaccines in October. I merely asked to be placed on the notification list. Farmacias in the EU are great. I have an eye irritation. They provided me with a solution without having to see a physician. They are more like a first line healthcare provider.
