I'm wondering: in 2028, when trump tries to put himself on the ballot for a third term, whether states are prepared to keep him off the ballot and what the Supreme Court will do. I think it's pretty clear cut, but I thought that about immunity, Dobbs, and section 3 of the 14th Amendment, too.

An amendment requires 2/3 of both House and Senate. Then it has to he ratified by 3/4 of the states. As the House and Senate currently stand, that'll never happen. The other option is 2/3 of House and Senate have to call for a National Convention. Again, will never happen.

They’ve already hinted what they would do when they made Colorado put him back on the ballot even though they decided he had encouraged insurrection. They said there was no law backing up that part of the constitution, it was a suggestion. So is being 43 or limiting someone to 2 terms.
I think by 2028 there will be martial law and no elections. He'll by 2026 at this point.
States tried to do that in 2024 but the Supreme Court came up with a a bizarre twisted ruling that practically invalidated a portion of the 14th amendment claiming that it was not self activating when in fact, it had been used hundreds of times..
I really think that by 2028, his jibber-jabber will be so bad that even his supporters won’t be able to justify him being on the ballot.
