His travel itineraries have always been top secret meaning not publicly available to my knowledge. Anybody ever seen them? Maybe he spends all his time working for the little guy, all 365 days of the year. Apparently the guy never has time or is inclined to use his substantial wealth for vacations

We can't all be heroes who rely on FB, X. IG and TikTok. Did Trump or a foreign bot turn you against MSM?

Stunning, you can feel the warmth.

Hopeful that the vast majority of approved new projects in Canada, ones that also pass environmental and Native approval, end up being green, renewable projects. If I had my way, all new fossil fuel project ideas would stay under ground where scientists say they belong.

Not perfect but better. A wider variety of journalists and editors. More independent, able to be more objective. As for its comment section, a lot of Conservative die hards. But a better mix of comments than NP for sure.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Exactly! Glad someone else is able to see through the haze of contempt and mistrust for the "media" that foreign bots working for Putin and Zi, plus Trump himself have obviously very successfully used to undermine all truth. Cynicism and skepticism are a fascist tool that is obviously working here.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
You evidently didn't understand the word goodbye either. Here you go. Quotation marks can be used to signify sarcasm. More specifically, they are used to mean 'alleged' or 'so-called' or to show that a word is not being used in its literal sense. Getting it finally?
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes, they are disgusting. Not to excuse their answers, but let's not forget they have been thoroughly brainwashed all of their lives. And they probably understand the risk to themselves, if they ever speak their minds. Self-preservation is a powerful motivator.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes, the entire Cabinet and the appointed minions are that. Many are just useful idiots.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Don't forget Iran and North Korea we're there too. "the Axis of Evil" All enabling Russia's Ukraine war. Might this be the wake up call Trump needs? I doubt Tulsi would even bother telling him. And he's too stupid and self-absorbed to realize what just went down.

The Canadian delegation in Ottawa trying to negotiate with Trump admin. for a trade deal that removes their tariffs might just have spilled the beans. But I do take your main point.

The war crimes just continue. Tomorrow, Trump's latest two week ultimatum expires for Putin. Surprise us sir, and do something with some "bigly" bite. I did just read they have approved longer range (than previous) missiles to be sold to NATO for Ukraine. That's a start.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
I don't know the details of either firing. And MSNBC isn't about to make their reasons public. I did like Joy! Fun! Mehdi I could take or leave. Alex isn't great, but I think her heart is in the right place. I also like CNN, CBC, BBC and France TV24 (Public). I should watch PBS more.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Your accusation is unfounded, incorrect and absurd. I've been wasting my time interacting and patiently explaining over and over the contrary. Clearly, you are not reading and or comprehending my posts. Goodbye.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
I didn't see the interview the same way. Wes Moore is a smart man, he can handle a journalist's questions. If he couldn't, then we start to worry.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Correct. But Trump's "legal" and our legal are not the same thing. Just the same word.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
You are probably correct. So, the state AGs are going to get real busy, if he orders a deployment to Chicago, as seems to be the case. .

Argue that in court on behalf of D.C. If you win, I'll be the first to applaud.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Of course! But for some folks they matter bigly.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Look I don't like out or support it! But, the premise used by Trump (and sadly he happens to be Pres.) is that it is "legal". Until a co-equal branch rules otherwise it effectively is. I don't set the rules, I can only observe.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Please reread what I said. If it helps, put legal in quotation marks.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
So nicely said. Only a "machine" could have that way with words.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
You are definitely part of the problem. Where did you buy the glass onion? It's not "bits of reporting" it is almost exclusively. Are you real? Or just pretending to be. Cause I've seen AI act the same.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
wow that comment took a non-genius.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Unfortunately, the justice system works slower than the dictator. Almost everything he does can be challenged in court. It is legal until some judge says it isn't and then he appeals and appeals again.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Fair points. Legally it lasts 29 days. Ideally, it should never have happened. But we have an autocrat in charge so what did we expect?
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
I oppose the occupation, but it is legal, for just 29 days. The stats do matter however because they are reality. Again though, it shouldn't be happening without consent in an ideal world, no matter the stats.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
29 days, legally, but we shall see. Costs are good question! Naturally, Trump admin. would not have that information.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
No the statistics were not from the Trump admin. The statistics are there. Anyone can take credit for them. Or as the various Governors did, argue why even so the deployment of the National Guard is not a good idea. PS> I am opposed, but not afraid of statistics or hard questions.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
We have our problems like the predominately owned and Republican influenced National Post which is the dominant print media across the country. But I subscribe to many US based media companies. And foreign owned. And as a paid subscriber to all, I do understand what I read and what is going on
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
"There’s no anti fascist reporting in any US legacy media" isi blatantly and demonstrably false. Maybe you are part of the problem.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
You claim "These are profit seeking institutions whose owners are deeply invested in the fascist cause". Some may or may not be fascist. Many just like the tax breaks. Aa long as I get access to great human, environmental and anti-fascist reporting, then I can live with that. That is what matters.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
That was easy. So was blocking your angry accusation.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
I think so, but at least we can be civil about it.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
I have no doubt some are, especially at FOX etc. But overwhelmingly not so.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Actually, I saw it on MSNBC last night.

progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social)
I saw it on the news. It was great!
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
No, you are though.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
No. You are very confused. That is the polar opposite of what believe and have said.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Sure just hang around for a few days on one thread. Briliant.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
I wasn't inside the thread when the post appeared in my 'nNotifications'. If I had been, I would have known. If you can explain how one knows how to figure out where a comment like "this video" can be traced back to from 'Notifications' then I would be grateful. So far, it alludes me.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
There are countless examples where I agree with you. I too wish sometimes for more pushback and fact checking. Take a Trump scrum as a prime example. But the stench of the lie hangs in the air and wouldn't if the question was not asked.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
You appear to be by your asinine question.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
The press I read is certainly not a "fascist organ" by any stretch of the most vivid imagination. In fact it is overwhelmingly vehemently opposed. btw. I read foreign media too.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
They merely cited statistics and the respective governors had an open microphone and ample time to respond. That is what happens in a democracy. Journalists probe without fear or favour. Take that way or sanitize it, and you have exactly what Trump wants and Putin already has.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Here's a clue. It is the answer that matters! Now, that wasn't difficult, was it.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
I'll say it again. It is the duty and the job of a journalist to ask questions without fear or favour. Wes Moore's a big boy, might be running for President? Great! He did just fine. You have nothing to lose by lightning up, except your fear of nothing.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Not so. And either you are totally gullible, or just misinformed. The Russians want you to mistrust and be angry at all media. And so does Trump. You are either one of them of playing into their hand. Duh!
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Sorry kind sir, but when I am on multiple threads simultaneously, and a message pops up only saying "that video" or "this video" do be a hero and explain how one knows what they are talking about.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
OK you don't understand what a journalist's job is? That is obvious. If Trump has his way and journalists are eventually banned, that will seem like the good old days when you could actually ask a question.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
It is the job of journalists to show no fear or favour, and to ask probing questions. Only autocrats and dictators fear being asked such questions. By answering a journalists questions Moore, Pritzker, Newsom etc. reach more people and only gain credibility.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Good points! And I agree. Journalism isn't always perfect. But it is necessary and that's why Trump wants to destroy it. I just don't agree with the outrage over asking any questions.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Angry at life too?
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
You are afraid of a journalist citing statistics and asking probing questions? You shouldn't be. Because that is democracy in action. Prisker handled himself just fine.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Only if you promise to take off your glass onions when you do.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
The interviewer cited statistics. That is called reporting. To be crystal clear, I am opposed to Trump sending National Guard into anywhere. I support Prisker, Newsom and Moore! But, if you are afraid of a journalist asking questions, then I can't help you.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
Back that up with some facts instead of mad talk.
progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
You mean her Wes Moore interview in Baltimore. Moore: ‘I have no interest in fighting with the president, but I have an interest in fighting for my communities’ “Asking me to deploy my National Guard" is "not a serious approach,” Moore said. That ABC Martha?

progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent

progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent

progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
From your own poll which doesn't actually say Israelis support the war as you claim. Support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was at a low ebb in the Center’s 2024 survey (58% unfavorable vs. 41% favorable).

Ya, I asked and then I had to google them. I get it, they are out there.

progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent

progsrock (@progsrock.bsky.social) reply parent
