Dominion Rod is kind of a twist on a few other ideas like the Cane of Somaria, though executed in such a way to try to avoid abuse. Then you got the Spinner which is such a cool item it's being featured in at least 2 different indie games. But I don't think it's been in another Zelda game.
I don't think the Ball and Chain has ever been in another game, which is surprising considering how many ideas get recycled in the series. The grass whistle idea seemed like it wanted to take an idea and do something new with it though it's more limiting instead
SS was in many ways a transitional step between OoT and BOTW, for better and for worse. And it really wanted to play around with the motion controls, which, kind of worked. Most of the time.
I think at one point people were annoyed Zelda was so iterative up to here but I think one can appreciate how well the OoT formula was done here in the context of experimental Zeldas like the DS games and Skyward Sword. Sometimes you just want something that just works.
I think I've come to better appreciate Twilight Princess with age. It railroads you a bit with things like not enabling freely warping until after you get the Master Sword and locking you into an area until you complete it but it's such a good game in the series.

Credit your your collaborators, credit the entire creative team, credit the publisher, mention the release date. At least in the main posts, obviously it's not possible/pragmatic every time you're plugging on social media but start off with credit where it's due.

In approximately the last year there have been a handful of relatively large channels trying to rehabilitate his image, then swarming former CA contributors and calling us all liars for clout, as if 40-some-odd people all need to leave at once for clout. Not a word of that makes any fucking sense.
I'm just gonna say it, the rewriting of history around DW and the infantilization of him and claiming he was just ignorant and didn't know anything is infuriating. Him not being the CA CEO doesn't mean he wasn't one of the top three dudes in the room making whack-ass decisions.

Nintendo's kind of the master of cheating graphics as Pikmin 4 looks pretty darn good but is powered by faking the lighting effects rather than having actual lighting chug what little processing power the console has
A lot of technology is meaningless to the layman anyway. The fake mirror effect in Mario 64 is equally effective as whatever technology powers today's fake mirrors to someone who doesn't know or care how they work.
Honestly this is kind of what I'm talking about with graphic fidelity hitting a ceiling. A decade of progress doesn't really look all that different so companies should really stop pushing for it so much.

A couple of years back companies started using AI voiceover and my voiceover gigs disappeared. And then they realised it wasn't quite working...and started using VO artists again. You can create something that is passably a human voice but you can't create something that's even passably human.

Arguments about being more appealing to the right for business reasons are stupid. Right wingers wonโt leave x for Bluesky. But Blueskys core base might disappear if it loses its niche appeal.
Blueskys core audience is liberal and leftist users and they are the ones driving much of the posting activity. If the platform shifts to accommodate right wing users that base is likely to migrate back to other sites leaving Bluesky without its main draw. This is the niche it fills.

The intro to Game & Wario shows a world map on Wario's wall. While roughly corresponding to the map of our world, it shows some differences in the shapes of the landmasses. Most concerningly, it appears that in Wario's world, Europe does not exist.

I mean when it was new I didn't have a PS4 at all and I wanted to wait to see if the PC version was shoddy ported or not. IIRC, I do own Ground Zeroes on Steam, I believe I got it as a gift, probably from someone who had an extra copy for whatever reason.
I haven't played it at all despite playing just about everything else Metal Gear before it. I skipped over Ac!d cuz, what's the point? Not necessarily the fault of the game besides being annoyed Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain are two separate entities, mostly just didn't get around to it.
