Looking at the history of claims by this administration, I'd say the chances that anything they predict will come to pass are along the lines of a stopped clock being right a couple times/day.
When you discredit expertise of all kinds, and hire based on loyalty alone, then anyone can do any job because you don't actually believe some people are better trained or educated for those jobs.
I'm not going to pretend it's a good use of our resources, but I'd rather the national guard go into DC and pick up trash rather than walk the streets with guns looking for non-white people to harass.

I understand there are US military supplies that are desirable, but Europe can purchase those until they re-engineer what they make to substitute for those US supplies.
It was always a (very) long shot that Trump would support Ukraine against Putin. Ukraine has gotten a lot more support from Europe, and that's going to be the path forward. Give lip service to Trump, smile and tell him how great he is, and then go work with Europe.

tbf the national guard probably has minimal interest in being there, and is certainly not trained for this. I don't think they count as brown shirts. ICE, yes, but national guard not so much.
