They do not need to be coddled into voting. It is their duty, their obligation, their privilege. If they can't see that and think they should be coerced into doing it then they are missing the point. Maybe doing without democracy for a while will restore their will to do the work to keep it.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Just like a bunch of entitled brats, wanting people to fix a system for them and hand it over when they have every obligation to be involved in fixing the system as anyone else. They're not doing anyone a favor to vote. It's their obligation. They should do it for themselves.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Yeah, I'd like to see someone like a john ossoff. But that's just me. My concern is that the party is so divided that no matter who you pick (could be baby jesus himself) one subset or another of the party is going to absolutely hate them, defile them and make it a non-starter.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
No one who walks this earth is going to be perfect enough to fit this bill.

The constitution explicitly doesn't give the president power over elections. - Fixed it

If they can use the Bible as their constitution then we can use the Constitution as our bible.

It's mainly that high because big tech companies are spending a GD fortune on artificial intelligence. And that AI is starting to replace entry-level jobs simultaneously. According to the numbers.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Haha, true.

He's laughing because he gets away with being a duplicitous piece of shit while we pay him and give him free healthcare.

Maybe the problem is not the site. Perhaps some folks don't buy it that billionaires are bad *except* for a couple of special little boys.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes, thank that person for pointing out that while both things could be done, only one of them is actually being done by the millions. And that is the complaining.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Apparently, they're too busy doing something, because this post mentions that they should be in the street by the millions, but they only manage to complain by the millions. I manage to do all those things plus take care of elderly parents and go to protests without b******* about politicians.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
*Especially* if the president doesn't like it.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Of course this DOJ will never miss an opportunity to have Project 2025 contributors expound upon Unitary Executive Theory.

Too busy on the internet crying that Chuck Schumer is a tired old man who's not fighting the fight for us.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
I've never know a group of people who so deeply relish being despicable.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Love this attitude! Sure beats those who just complain or yell from the sidelines about what others SHOULD be doing. I wish you the best of luck!
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent

He's also the antichrist the bible warns about in Revelations.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Quixotic is a literal understatement.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Wait now, he's done his own extensive research on whale carcasses.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Almost as pathetic as the opposition of the people. Crying on the internet about how no one else is fighting for them. Talk about weak.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
The day after Trump again suggests changing the Department of Defense to the Department of War and claiming we've been too defensive and should be more offensive. Coincidence? I think not!
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Who are the pundits he's referring to? FOX News or somewhere? I honestly don't recall hearing that but also wasn't watching cable news.

Lol, true.

The Sherman Prize?
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Do you think the gerrymandering gambit by GOP could be to get the Democrats to follow suit in hopes that SCOTUS would nullify the entire midterm results leaving Republicans in power?
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Good idea to check and replace old ammo too. Did that recently.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Oh, are you saying we shouldn't be shitposting Democrats because we don't think they're fighting back the way we think they should? Interesting...
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Pretty soon all of MAGA will have the mark so they can identify one another as followers of their antichrist.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
How would you know what I'm doing? Everyone saying nobody is doing anything but then acting like his campaign speech is breaking ground in the fight.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Big words in a campaign speech is not hitting back. I like it, but come on. All he is doing is talking.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
It's the Mark of the Beast. Pretty soon all of MAGA will have it so they can identify themselves to one another as followers of their Antichrist.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
I have a story: The Gospel According To Jesus. Jesus and his pals are running around doing hoax pranks and getting famous. But when Jesus wants to come clean, Judas turns him in to the Romans and the apostles all go along with the messiah story to keep from being jailed themselves.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Who did you vote for that has not acknowledged that?
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
We can agree to disagree, yes. But I feel like fighting fascism by demanding that everyone else fight it in the same way that you do, saying and doing exactly what you want them to say or do is just another form of fascism.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
This will surely win him the Nobel Peace Prize.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Just because you don't see or think they're are fighting doesn't mean they aren't. I often see people saying "Chuck (or whoever) didn't say anything." Then you show them they did say or do something and they act like it still wasn't enough. Every attack on your own side is unhelpful. Focus on enemy!
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Agreed. And those who spend their time attacking people in the fight who aren't fighting exactly the way you want or saying the things that you want them to say are not helping fight that fight. They are helping the enemy.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
I do not. Who said that?
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
That's gonna require some folks to take a break from complaining about Congress, get off the internet and run for office. So, not likely.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Mark of the Beast
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Well, if you think just keep doing the same thing is going to create different results, I don't know what to tell you either. I guess we can discuss it in the concentration camps.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Just go ahead and keep doing what you're doing. It's working just perfectly. Too bad democrats aren't as smart as they think they are. We wouldn't keep losing to those we call dumb.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
He's not talking about the issue being real or not. He's specifically talking about the language used. Why "food insecurity" instead of hunger? Im not food insecure, I'm fucking hungry.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
I can think of 2 reasons not to focus so much on the occupations. One being that if people already hate them, the work is already done. And secondly, the occupations are just one court order away from vanishing. While kitchen table issues will remain through the election right. Why not both?
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
As it should be.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes, because what Democrats really need is fist pumping, table pounding mad men like so many other historically great leaders.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Practical and lazy are often synonymous, haha.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Spot on. They'll say essentially, "I want a unified front that says and does everything exactly the way I want, to fight fascism."
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Does anyone else worry that Dems are being baited into going so extreme that SCOTUS has an excuse to nullify the election results? This would give R's their only chance of keeping power. It would not be the first time D's were baited into a fatal mistake.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
It's practical. Phone app icons are the new logo but they are tiny and need to be simple in order to identify and read them.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
And they think the party needs to lean all the way over towards them for their votes. FUCK that and FUCK them.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes, they are mad that a company changed it's logo to be readable by the old folks who eat there on their phone app icon instead of looking like a Rorschach test.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
I've muted this person and blocked the other but from the context of your replies to them I think you are probably seeing my point. Right?
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Last I checked, voters can vote for whoever grabs their heart. Why spend your days and nights condemning the DNC then pining for their approval of your candidate?
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Anyone else worry that the fascist regime is baiting Democrats to retaliate so much as to allow an excuse for SCOTUS to nullify the election? Which is about the only chance they have of keeping congressional power. Wouldn't be the first time we were baited into a fatal mistake.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
LOL. Thanks for proving my point, Dan.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
I've noticed that those who have all the answers for politicians lack the courage or energy or something to actually run for office themselves. It bother me a lot. I mean if they know so GD much about how it SHOULD be done, then do it!
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
I think a lot of people believe falsely that Democrat voters are "smarter" than republican voters. They may typically be more educated but I don't think they are as smart as they would like to think they are. I mean they keep losing elections to those they call dumb on a daily basis.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
I'm sure she does the same whenever she sees a confederate flag flying anywhere too.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes, few people know this but Fat Man and Little Boy were famously prodigious negotiators.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Pretty sure the background is a barrel. Fuck that cracker. And it's something you can actually read as an app icon, which has basically replaced the "logo" in today's culture. People really need to get e life.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
LOL. This is why Dems ore doomed. GOP is out here voting for pedophiles while Dems are like, "he just seems too polished or workshopped. Like, can't he just wing-it like Trump?"
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Hey Jamelle, have you considered running for office? There seems to be quiet a few people with big names and followings and a lot of advice and answers that make sense. It'd be great if they would come off the sidelines and get into the arena so we could vote for them.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
So should we also stop caring that our president has broken so many laws and should be held accountable? I'm pro-immigrant. I hate what's being done to them. The answer is to change the laws, not insist they aren't enforced.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
A, well thank god Hillary was never president of the united states so she couldn't chum up to Maxwell for a character witness and move her to better jail digs and wish her well.

Actually there is a Cenobite for all of MAGA: Charlie Kirk
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Haha. Also looking like a Cenobite.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
If Dems think they can win the majority of American voters by finding a magical flawless candidate appealing to only flawless voters they have another thing coming. Actually they have the same thing coming. A solid loss.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
I used to hate Gen-X. Now I embrace it. You can just X me out of all this madness, please and thank you.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Who owns the land isn't the point. The point is whether or not they have legal right to be on the land. If not, they may have to leave. And they could be arrested and forcibly removed for refusing. It's the law.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Okay bro
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
okay bro
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
He know what he's doing, if you know what I mean. The little handsome devil.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Sure, sounds good. But until then, the law is what the law is. You can't wish it away can you?
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
There is "the way you think it should be." There is "the way it actually is." Vastly different worlds and only one of them is the reality of now.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
I get that you're trying to make some kind of argument about Americans stealing this country. There were different and no immigration laws then. We have laws now. It's incomparable. It's an idealistic childlike argument.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
I don't know in this hypothetical world, is something no longer a crime if a lot of people are doing it?
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
I'm not talking about what what trump is doing. Im talking about whether or not someone who is here illegally is, in fact, here illegally. If they have a valid visa, then they're not here illegally, and they should be left alone. If not, then they are fair game to be sent home.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
It doesn't bother me if someone overstays their visa or if they cross the border to make a good life for their family either. But that doesn't change whether or not it's illegal.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
It doesn't have to be an individual's property to be trespassing. You can trespass in a national park, which belongs to the government. So anyone who's here without permission from the government is technically trespassing. Should we call them trespassers? It's just semantics.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Except that they are in the country without permission. Illegally. I don't care how you try to spin it. You may not agree with the law. But they are here illegally if they broke the law to get or stay here.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Can't you just say virtue signaling. haha
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
That'd be like saying Idiocracy isn't like America really is... oh wait a minute.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
People aren't illegal but trespassers are. If you have some folks just hanging out putting up tents in your back yard, are you cool with that? The people aren't illegal but their presence in your yard without permission is illegal.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
So we should say they are trespassers, then?
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Have we considered that there are some bad actors covertly working to divide us through fake accounts? Some of the most divisive "people" I've seen lately look like exactly what you'd expect if a Russian or GOP operative was creating them.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
I'd rather believe a conspiracy theory than take responsibility for the failings of myself and my fellow voters. I fixed it for you.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
If he is the Antichrist wearing the mark of the beast, then yes.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Exactly, it looks exactly like the account Russian trolls would create to divide dems.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Pretty obviously the Mark of the Beast from the prophesy of Revelations.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
I feel your pain and glad you're back. When PornHub shut down access in GA for similar reason it stung a bit. But for silly reasons and was easy to replace. But for BlueSky, where people have built relationships over time, businesses & have a viable communication outlet, it's serious and really sad.
RuffHouse Matt (@ruffhouse.bsky.social) reply parent
Mark of the beast.
